Becomming an Angel or Abommination

@cinnao it's easier for beasts became renegade (abominations). Will be tricky for demons became good (Angels). I really like the idea and looks achieving

nope once you hit evil with beast and good with demons you will be race changed.
Source? A couple weeks ago Prometheus mentioned that becoming an angel or demon required a divine quest. Unless it's impossible to become an evil beastman without that quest, I doubt it's as simple as just becoming evil.
-
I think you are forced to do divine quests to redeem or renegade. I doubt you can became good/evil without doing divine quests. I think once you hit the good/evil via quests you will be transformed.
-
The devs can always adjust it how difficult the renegade or remeeming part is by adjusting the devine quests.
-
I remember Prometheus saying that becoming an Angel is the only way for demon to become good (cannot find it now and I have to run ) but for beastkin that would be strange if he could go on killing spree and remain neutral.

that to me doesn't make sense. if you're aligned well into the good range then you're good! although people may fear you because "you're still a demon". OR Prometheus is saying in order for a demon to progress into the good standing they have to do the quest.
-
@tulukaruk prometheus said many times that redeem a demon will be harder than renegade a beast. Said this if you go on killing spree you will became evil quest or not quest. To became good is different and you will need quest to progress to get good (so I suppose once you will hit good you will get the new race)
-
I wonder if the type of beastman/demon you are affects the type of abomination/angel you become.
-
@cinnao good question, wonder that myself now
-
@benseine Thinking about it more, if NPC's have a large effect on Karma, wouldn't hellfire demons have a harder time than the other demons while the blood demons would have an easier time? Since Intelligence and Charisma affect how easy it is to interact with NPC's.
-
@cinnao guess so yeah

That's how I understood it. Cannot find in now...

Living as a demon with positive karma on Tartaros or as a beastkin with negative karma on Arboreus will be extremelly tricky. My guess is that the divine quest is what will definitely cut ties with your former race and let you live acording to your alignment. That is the actual reward for getting so far to change your character's fate. Probably you can also chose not to do the quest, but then you would miss many game features because of the "incorrect" alignment for the race you decided to play initialy. I mean, you would still have all drawbacks just for cosmetic purposes. Just go to the store and buy something less angelical or abominable if you wish so.
-
When you become an angel/abomination your race and abilities change, does this mean the aptitude for stats also change? If so, do we get to "recreate" our character to reassign stat points or change the appearance to a more appropriate look?
-
@cinnao look change, stats change, abilities are linked to the knowledge system so every race can have all abilities.
-
@finland Sorry if I wasn't clear, what I meant was "Do we get to choose our new appearance or re-assign stat points?"
-
@cinnao you have to follow and accomplish divine quest to became an angel or an abomination. Once you get it you wil be reskinned and your base attribute will be modified. Dunno if we'll be able / allowed to change attributes. For sure is challanging and interesting. At the moment we haven not seen a character customization so I don't know if you will get a standar skin or if you have the option to personalize it. Remebr that's an isometric game so you will never see too much hero details.
-
I wonder how easy will it be to lose the transformation and drop back to demon / rise back to beastkin. Will we be able to become neutral angel/abomination?

For me it will be waking up at the wrong side of the bed, and PoeF... I'm a demon again. I won't be surprised if it is similar ingame too.
-
@tulukaruk i suppose that you will go back to your original form. Would make no sense an evil angel cause it's tecnically a demon.
