imbued chipped diamond can't be socketed to scholar boot bug or not ?
-
@Prometheus i have created +1 boots and imbued chipped diamond with mana reduction cost but tool tip says you can't put the gem in boots only in rings and amulets.
is it a bug? and if not, what gems be inserted to what items ??
-
Depends on the enchant you put on it.
You have imbued that gem with a necklace enchant, so now it only goes on a necklace.
-
@spoletta how one know what goes on the necklace or boots ?
-
Hmm, nothing on the UI tells you that...
This indeed is an issue.
-
@spoletta so how do you know its not just bug ?
-
Because you are describing something completely possible, especially if you didn't know of this limitation.
Let me guess, you enchanted an attribute bonus?
-
@grofire As with many aspects of this game, instead of telling you which enchantments go with which item types, it is now a trial and error thing.
Prometheus, in the video introducing the new imbuing system, did mention that you now imbue the gem with the feature, and then socket it into an 'appropriate piece of gear' As we already knew from before, each gear type has a different set of things that they can be imbued with, so, now you need to match the enchanted gem to the type of gear that can take that enchantment, through trial and error, and the message is the part that tells you it is on purpose.

@GamerSeuss if that true, and im 90% sure its not, then it just bad practice.
-
We simply have a missing UI element to know which enchant we are making.
