View angle
-
I'm sorry if this has been posted in a thread before but a search revealed nothing.
Am I alone in feeling the Isometric view is maybe 10-20 degrees too steep, causing you to not only be able to actually see much detail of your character,
but also making combat in a tree bearing area a little more difficult than it needs to be ?

Yeah you're right about the angle. I think the angle should be adjusted or even better you should be able to rotate the camera. This way you can prevent trees blocking your view.
-
Nevermind my previous post, in a post titled 'camera rotation' or something like that it has been explained that the devs will not change the camera angle or the possibility of rotation.
-
Camera angle will not be adjustable, but its possible that movement controls will be tweaked further so that various objects do not cause difficulties while you are in combat.
-
It is also possible highlight characters, animals and mobs when they are behind trees or make the flora slightly transparent when someone is moving behind them.

@Tuoni
Or something that actually looks good.

I mean I don't mind the camera angle so much, but I do think that there are certain objects that can get in the way while traveling.

As everyone hgas already mentioned, camera is an issue, and the devs dont plan to include camera rotation. However, the vertical angle of the camera being dropped, isn't the answer. That will only provide more issues as your character becomes even further blocked behind trees and obstuctles, obstructing your view. I don't know what the devs r gonna do to improve movement, but i am very keen to see them do it.
