Let's pray for sick Blizzard :(

Have you guys heard of Blizz "new Diablo game" -> Diablo Immortal??
clearly stated, or that is really a very-late April Fools' joke...or the only other possible explanation is that Blizz has lost its heart and sold its soul to Activision...I think we need an exorcism
AsHowever, from an aesthetic point of view, one has to appreciate the complete disaster of the Q&A session! :DD

Mobile games are where the money is at these days

I can't stand to use my phone for more than 5m searching for something while out; not sure how people spend hours on games on these teeny tiny screens.
-
So I've been reading up on this the last few days with my jaw hanging open. The marketing during this fiasco was utterly the most tone-deaf I've seen outside of politics. It wouldn't surprise me if Marketing 101 classes aren't studying this one for years.
-
ehh the game is set in between the events diablo 2 and 3 so its 2.5 i guess the real diablo ( diablo 4) will come out sooner or later and until it does ill enjoy Diablo 2.5 and 3
-
Good point is, if there is no Diablo 4, we will have more time for Fractured
-
Blizzard has been... tone deaf for a long time. Where not everything that people say should be taken and run with, that is entirely different from Blizz's "We know best, even if that means that the entire rest of the world is wrong and we have to change the meaning of the words in use".
I continually find myself surprised they haven't alienated a far greater number of people. At the same time, I hope they don't (because I like people having fun, even if there are reasons not to like the company involved).
-
Blizzard has some serious issues with their hyping habits. They always give hints of something awesome coming out and then release nothing actually interesting. Disappointing customers like this doesn't do them any favours...
And why a remake of Warcraft 3? Why not something new?
-
I closed the stream instantly when they said it was a mobile game. Couldn't even be bothered to look at it.
-
That was literally a total let down for me... anyway can´t do anything about that unfortunatelly...
-
whats wrong with them making a mobile Diablo game?
-
@lovechildbell There's nothing wrong. For many people they don´t even care. It's just for us, the PC players, it's a let down, a lot of us have been hoping and waiting for this Diablo MMO, and it turns out it's for mobile. That's why it's a let down for me xD
-
@lovechildbell My biggest problem was that they teased new content, put the Diablo news in the premiere spot, then announced a mobile game to people who had spent hundreds (perhaps thousands with travel and hotel). They knew that hardcore PC players wouldn't be interested in it. It's just classic Blizzard bait and switch, which I thought that they had gotten better at.
-
I get that people are disappointed but I still don't see why people need to put down blizzard for this. Its their next big thing for Diablo why shouldn't it be their big announcement when they have nothing else to show off?
-
@lovechildbell I'm not putting down blizz. They just doing things on their own way. For me it was just a big let down, cus I was really waiting for this game announcement on blizcon, nothing more.. (Speaking for me here)
-
@lovechildbell It would have been fine if it had been announced somewhere else. Instead, they teased new content to a group of PC/console players who have been starving for content, got them to pay a huge amount of money to see the announcement in person, then sprung the news that it was mobile only.
They had published a warning that made it pretty obvious that they weren't announcing D4. In that same announcement, they should have made clear that they weren't making any announcements about new PC content.
-
@needlehawk people payed to see news about the franchise, not specifically console/pc. There is nothing wrong with this.
-
All this anger at Blizzard.
What's wrong guys? Don't you have phones?
-
I still cant believe they didnt announce Diablo 2 remastered
-
@koliup That's not the point at all. It's just that mobile games aren't nearly as complex as PC games are. You will never be able to immerse into the world on mobile as you did f.e. in diablo 3. On top of that the trailer really looks like every other mobile hack & slash bs out there. They just messed up big time.
