Hello fellow players,
I have been thinking of ways to deal with conflict as a demon race.
Yes it going to be chaotic and a little crazy at times, but why not create a little order to that chaos for the benefit of all?
Thinking of creating a community/town that is ruled by its inhabitants and controlled by a set of rules that if broken have life or death consequences.You steal from someone within our community (and get caught) , the person stolen from has the right to challenge you to the death and it will be enforceable by the community.
Have not figured out a lot of the details here but thought this would be a good way to start..

I think this is a pretty neat idea. Having a settlement focused around this format would provide some interesting structure to Tartaros

A community to battle the kaos is a great idea, the fundamental flaw in your scenario is that Billybad Butt who can't be beat in a duel gets to take anything he wants, how is that not kaos with a capital CH.

Structured PvP is called... Syndesia
Tartaros is here for unorganized chaotic PvP. Whoever wants structure in his PvP has another planet to play on.

Agreed.
But I do like the idea of setting up a player-run area on Tartaros for gladiatorial combat where the other races can come and participate for prizes of money or loot.
I don't think this should be built into some kind of crime and punishment system. I think it'd just be a fun PvP mode.

Why limit it to tartaros? I think it's a great idea, but I do think it's best suited to Syndesia, purely because of the structuring it would take to run. I've flirted with setting up my entire town on the Thunderdome model, and if it can be done, I intend to.

Player held courts would certainly be interesting

In my head this would draw pvpers who would want to see a ranked system. In this town they could implement an arena system where all of the PvP is done, and any violence outside of the battleground is not tolerated (i.e. everyone jumps on the pker). It would be a cool little society of "snobby" demons battling to advance in the ranks and rising in status. Fun to picture!

Sounds pretty normal to me. As in logical. I mean it should be like this...as demons are more about contracts and power in human world, I believe it will be cool if they have the STRONGEST families of demons being and trying to keep the order in cities and such. Obviously those can be overthrown but it makes me wonder how will that happen...will it be in the arena like a tournament thing or it will be more politics or both..?
