Anyone can explain what kind of mmo this game is?
-
Is it like Eve Online where players are the ones who are in total control?
-
yes. they mention sandbox on the News Section of the main site.
-
The news articles and FAQ explain it best. You should try them.
-
@chickenhands its not very clear since its not even on alpha, but i think it would be some kind of mix between the freedom of eve, diablo, a little of moba and runescape maybe?
-
i mean diablo isn't a sandbox. i don't see moba either because it isn't an instanced battle arena. I don't know enough about runescape to comment on that one.
-
@jetah Sory, i was talking about the combat
-
combat looks like it's similar with some twist. watch the video https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBQQws7fInFoIfkLbklPH_g
-
It is a sandbox! But not space ships!
-
i don't know of any sandboxes in space...
-
@jetah Isn't EVE a sandbox in space? I don't know for sure but I thought that was the big draw of that game?
-
@jetah To kind of piggyback off the other guy. I think EVE is the most notable sandbox of our time. It has been around for 15 years this year. I play EVE a great amount and while I like the sandbox elements I am not a huge sci fi person which makes it more tough for me to get into.
I am much more fantasy and would like it to be a great sandbox game where we can all contribute.

Fractured is a top-down exploration MMO with the basic controls of a MOBA and a large-scale persistent world with zero or near-zero instancing. I would presume that as long as you stayed on a single planet and walked to your destination there would also be no loading screens or fade-outs.
Fractured divides the game world into three planets each with different rules on PVP, PK, and crimes in general. Players of the proper alignment can travel between these planets with certain restrictions.

that's not a box of sand in space.
