Taming animals
-
Shall we be able to tame animals to have as cosmetic pets?
-
We can not tame any animals (only purchase from cash shop)
-
We could tame few animals as cosmetic pets but there would be limits to which animals we can tame (for example, we could tame only bunnies, squirrels and cats - but greater variety of animal types would be available in cash shop, like wolves, bears etc.)
-
We could tame wider range of animal types in the world but only basic models, then extra skins would be available in cash shop (we can tame basic looking wolf, but then cash shop offers 10 more skin variations for wolves)
-
OPTIONALLY we could tame beast men (so I'm walking around as demon and see @Finland walking around as bear, I tame him, and he becomes my pet)

@gothix I would still suggest to do petavatthu as a profession and do both in WoW, not split in 3 classes there, and at 4 - to make a DD class, support class ( Hill, buff, rebuff), protective-class and the magic class (attacks with magic, not physical attacks, so you can attach it to DD)

@Gothix
A nice pert system I have seen was made by Black Desert Online. A combination of cash shop pet (and sometime obtainable with quest). And also there is a whole taming system for mount that you can tame, train and even breed them.Maybe something like that would be nice.
Also being able to tame @finland would be nice

Personally, I really like the system of Bless Online where almost everything is tamable as a pet/mount in the open world. They also make a mini-game for taming and functions that go along with it. A side pokemon game always attracts collectors !

@chrightt I am absolutely supportive of the idea to give a specialist tamer the chance to tame almost any animal. I would also like that this requires to learn about different types of animals and their behaviour by actively observing them and gaining knowledge about to creatures necessary for the taming process. A wolf behaves differently than a wild horse and therefore has to be treated very differently. For both animals you need to know their habits, favourite food and natural behaviour to be able to use this for taming, domesticating and training the beast.

@gothix @Zwiterion White bears can not be tamed. It's the rule

Fractured features both cosmetic pets and ones that actually fight - but it's two separate things. The former are store perks (or anyway rewards, such as those in The Foundation), they just follow you and can't be harmed. The latter are obtained and trained in game - yes, you can train them too!
Source here. One of the spotlights also mentions that how many pets you can have with you at once is determined by your charisma.
I wonder, if I max out my charisma, will I be able to tame and ride an abomination into battle? This has so much potential.

You will need max charisma to ride @finland

I kind of want this to be a thing now. Unlock Necromancy, kill a player, raise him as a zombie, ride him into battle.
I bet demons would brag in pubs about who has the best zombie carebear mount.

@nelchael the best thing is the demonic slaves who clean my house
