Fast travel between main cities
-
I think it would be a good idea to do main cities in the coast and allow them to travel using the docks. Maybe, you should move the cities a bit to north and south.
What do you think?
-
@yneternum you already can.
-
and some of us are un happy about that ability and think the cost is way too low. XD

I enjoyed being part of a harbor town in the last test - I know some folks would love to do away with them, but I'm hoping they can eventually be balanced to allow for speedy (if pricey) travel.
One problem that's come up in this test, re city placement, is the way major combat zones are distributed greatly favors a small # of cities. Could be more evenly placed, or perhaps the cities farther from those zones might have other advantages (e.g., scarce resources, harbor...?)

@Xzait how? :s
-
@yneternum some coastal cities have harbors which you can use to travel to another harbor, at a cost.
-
@GreatValdus I know it, but I refer to main cities, no player cities
-
@yneternum ah you mean the two starting towns, I see!
I don't know if it's intentional that they are inland and not on the coast.
It might be useful if they were coastal now that you mention it, so you could already have a fast travel between north and south, of course always at a cost and even if player drive cities are not developed yet.
But now that I say it out loud (or write it down, in this case), maybe it's intentional that you cannot fast move in the initial phase of the game, and maybe it's intentional that fast travel via harbor has to be earned.
