Thanks for letting @Specter & @Prometheus know. This is one of those bugs it would be easy to exploit w/o telling anyone.

RE: Crop yield bug
@OlivePit - have you posted this on discord at all? Seems like @Prometheus & @Specter monitor that more closely than the forum but tagging them here just to be sure they'll see your data.

RE: Senatus Populesque
I really appreciate the time and thought @Mirgannel12 put into this post and the ideas in it, even if (as @GamerSeuss points out) there are problems w those ideas.
I do like the idea that governors could opt to give citizens voting rights conferring some say in city decisions - whether bc they are part of an allied guild or for other services rendered. I know the devs have given governors options wrt form of governance being autocratic/authoritarian or democratic, but that hasn't really been implemented yet. So, HOW that gets implemented is still an open question.
This thread might serve as a way to refine the community's thoughts on the subject.
One idea I'd like to toss out there is:
We've discussed the desirability of a town 'Notice Board' function for governors to make announcements and for citizens to post requests/party gathering info...
I'd love that Notice Board to also be a place where governors could post time-limited POLLS where citizens eligible to vote could help guide the direction of their city by letting the governor know what directions were best supported by those who actually live and work there.

RE: Alternative to crafting and enchanting RNG headache.
Without inserting my less-than-informed thoughts about the question under discussion, I want to take this opportunity to reflect that this kind of discussion is EXACTLY what I love about the Fractured forum.
@OlivePit & @GamerSeuss don't agree, but they're staying civil and constructive - using their personal experience AND looking at available data to support their points.@spoletta & @Jacenson have made valuable contributions as well - I'm particularly intrigued by the 'recycling tech' idea for making use of lower-quality items generated by failed attempts at a higher quality product.
THANKS to everyone for teaching me! The Foundation points y'all earn for discussions like this are totally earned. I'm tagging @Specter to make sure he sees my kudos.

Well done to all the winners! Thanks again for your thoughtful and constructive contributions that make this game's forum such an unusually pleasant place!

RE: Why are young status players allowed to kill legendaries?
I am always so impressed by folks like @Harleyyelrah & @Nekrage who can somehow suss how any system can be exploited.
The nasty minds in this world are often a mystery to me but I am so very grateful for the 'White Hat Hackers' who understand how that sort of person thinks, and do what they can to protect the rest of us from being hurt by selfish greedy f*cks.

@Specter woot!! Thanks pal π₯°
Gratz to everyone making this community happen -
RE: Fractured
@Torsten - it's happening to everyone! There are usually some helpful resources & materials nearby when people first arrive, but the new landscape is dangerous. Please be careful!
Examine everything carefully - there's lots to learn here. I found a helpful group to guide & protect me until I got stronger. Now I'm trying to help others.

- Claimable plots outside cities such as inns and homesteads: this would be attractive to solo players or small groups who don't want to live inside or attached to a city. Similar to what was in previous tests, you could have scattered plots throughout the continent where homesteads or inns could be created.
Inns could be safepoints for travelers (valuable in the absence of fast travel) and their hearths could eliminate both fatigue and poisons and enable skill memorization.
Perhaps these inns could trade with cities or merchants to stock up on certain adventuring supplies like food and mounts and bandages.
So many great points in this post, @Alexian! Thanks for taking the time to put it together. I agree with most of what you lay down here - with the @GamerSeuss proviso about harbors/boat travel being used for intercontinental travel, and at a certain level of risk.
Wanted to highlight that last suggestion and amplify. In tests so far, I've found there is almost always a dwelling constructed near the entrance to combat hot spots, with a hearth sometimes set to 'public' use. Those kindly souls deserve recompense, imo.
My house, this test, had a public hearth and even a public chest - with food, bandages, herbal remedy, rope and old gear available to any stranger wandering in nekkid cuz they got mobbed or ganked or whatever.
I saw a post (was it GamerSuess?) about a 'tip jar' feature some other games have coded in - adding that to my home, or to one of the hot spot 'recharge' dwellings - would be a sweet way to enable & reward generosity without putting a price tag on everything.
Thanks again to everyone putting in their two bits to improve an already cool game.

RE: Packing Station 5 Click Cart Load
@StormBug This really can't be suggested too often or by too many people, imo. Thanks!
The storage area should stay open until closed, as should the wagon/cart inventory pop-ups.

Better Luck Next Time....
Two days in a row I spent the time I had available to play Fractured trying to log in to Fractured. That was when I knew I need a better gfx card &/or PC to play this game. That's important info for @Prometheus & the devs, who know my system from my logs.
Can't remember the words used when I first signed up, but the current verbiage is "Weβre working to keep Fractured available on mid-range computers and laptops as well, including those a few years old."
So, here for dev approval is the playability floor. I'll be upgrading my gfx card for the next test and hoping to be able to play longer and w greater enjoyability.

RE: Time of Upkeep of Residentials are not equal at all
@Kralith said
@PeachMcD i would even suggest, that personal plots also gets a grace time to pay the upkeep, maybe while they are in debt, all stuff on the claim isn't usable (including chests) till they payed the debt. If they didn't payed after a week, the plot will be gone.
Wow! For a 'carebear', you're a bloody harsh landlord, Big K!
Would you make all the town buildings unusable for cities that got behind?Seriously tho - I understand why the rent is payable at turnover, in terms of coding facility, but the way things are now guilds have conflicting imperatives:
- a need to get residents in order to level up and gain tech
- a disincentive to allot housing plots later in the week than, say, Sunday, unless they can front the new residents their needed upkeep. Otherwise, the risk of losing standing looms large.

RE: [Suggestion] Center on your map location when you press M
I'd prefer it the way @petdown suggests, if we get to vote. But I'm glad to see that there's a quick way to find myself. I will confess to being clueless and easily confused.

RE: Time of Upkeep of Residentials are not equal at all
This was a real problem for us in Meridian - the upkeep being tied to the weekly turnover meant that people who bought their homes on the weekend had only a couple of days to raise the rent. We lost a LOT of residents, and went into the red in terms of our city level, because folks couldn't pony up quick enough to keep their property.
When a city doesn't pony up on time, they go into the red and have a week to make good. When a player is late with the rent, their house disappears. This, my friends, goes against all my principles. Just nasty af.
Please fix this for the next test, ok?
