RE: Which classes/gods/alignment u gonna choose? <3
@aistullka said in Which classes/gods/alignment u gonna choose? :
@firedorn Well did you ever think about making friend's with the demons? They have many things to offer
Hey, you sound like exactly the kind of person I'm looking for in my guild. Are you taken yet?
A summary of what we know about gods is available in this thread.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
We're talking about using the bones of your enemies to make gear. That's not really the same thing as using animal bones, and I doubt the beastman culture would allow something like this when they're not even allowed to kill each other. If killing your enemy is outlawed, then making a dagger out of his ribcage afterwards surely isn't allowed either.

RE: AFK activity in game ? (ex: fishing)
I doubt it, since it would end up being only used by people on Arboreus. You can be killed on Syndesia and Tartaros, and people who are afk and obviously can't fight back would be the best victims. There could be fishing in some form, but I doubt it would be an AFK activity.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
They could, but since metals are scarce on Tartaros, they'll probably have to raid the other two planets to get anything other than iron.
Stone is common on Tartaros β sandstone, granite and obsidian in particular β and frequently used by demons to erect the buildings of their unholy cities. Metals besides iron are rare, but weapons made of the latter have already taken the life of thousands of creatures, in Tartaros and outside.

RE: Suggestion: Demon Bone Armor/Weapon
They do have access to iron, and other metals are "rare" meaning that they are there, just in small quantities. What I would really love to see for demons is weapons made of obsidian, since it's mentioned in the Planets spotlight specifically. There are some interesting designs that they could go for, for example imagine something like this:
That's a Macuahuitl, an Aztec weapon made out of obsidian shards affixed to a wooden handle. They were more fragile than weapons made of metal, but they were a lot sharper. Now, the ones that existed in real life were made using wood, but there won't really be trees on Tartaros. Instead, coming back to the original point of this thread, maybe they could use bones? Imagine the weapon from the image above, except with a large bone instead of the wooden handle. That definitely sounds like something a demon would make, and it makes sense for them to use the materials that they have on hand. -
RE: Race specific activities?
Beastmen can already do that, it's called their primal form.
they can morph at will into their animal counterpart β a choice that comes with consequences, the main one usually being their enemies getting eaten soon after.
When transformed into their primal form, the tiger, the Chadra enjoy an even higher movement speed and attack precision. Plus, they gain access to unique abilities aimed at catching up with fleeing targets and hitting their vital spots, causing severe wounds that lead victims to quickly bleed to their deaths.
When transformed into their primal form, the wolf, the Udoadra gain speed and additional pack bonuses, unlocking abilities designed to empower allies and to cooperatively damage or restrain even the most powerful opponents.
And so on for the other families.

RE: Suggestion: Offline character activities
It's an interesting idea, reminds me of a game I played a long time ago called Age of Wushu. A detailed explanation is available here, but essentially, it allows players who log out in a city to put their characters to work as NPCs, such as servants or guards. VIP players can also have their character open a shop after they log out in a city.

RE: Night/Day events
Not sure about events, but we do know Shadow Demons will get buffs during night time. This might apply to certain mobs as well, like @Esoba said, so that when you're hunting for specific monsters, you should take into account whether they're nocturnal or diurnal. That would be a neat little feature, and it shouldn't be too hard to implement programming-wise.

RE: Suggestion: Offline character activities
How about things like the learning system, where it happens whether you're online or not? That way, it goes on in the background while you're chatting in the city, and it just keeps going if you go offline. There's no incentive to log off or go AFK, since you're still better off playing the game while the learning process goes on in the background.

RE: A new and exciting MMO! Lets disscuss!!!
What excites me about Fractured is the penis cannon.
I'm not letting that meme die if I can help it.

RE: Favourite beastman
A dead one. [/thread]
In all seriousness, I might try making either a hartkin or a wolfkin character.

RE: Anti-Magic School
The school of Abjuration includes a vast array of powerful protection spells, coupled with several ways to negate or modify the effects of other magical or physical abilities.
Knowledge of Abjuration allows the caster to grant immunity to magical and physical attacks, absorb or reflect hostile magic, and generate auras that negate the adverse effects of the elements. A typical user of this school is also good at disrupting the magical defenses of the opponents, leaving enemy sorcerers helpless and turning them into easy targets. Some Abjuration spells even allow the caster to banish items and beings out of existence for a limited time and to trap foes into alternate dimensions.^ From Spotlight 4
The abilities will be there, whether they will exist as weapon enchantments as well is up to the devs.

RE: What unusual weapon types would you like to see?
Dual wielding's already been confirmed, so that won't be a problem.
Most Warfare abilities are designed to be performed with medium and heavy melee weapons, including swords, great swords, blunt weapons and polearms. Most can be used holding a single weapon or dual-wielding, and some even swinging shields.
Holding a longsword with one hand always looks ridiculous, dual wielding them just makes it twice so. Even if you're strong enough to wield a longsword in each hand, they'd just slip out of your hands anyway, since the handle is too long for a one-handed grip and there's no pommel to stop your hand from sliding down.

RE: What's on the Menu?
We do know that there will be very little flora on Tartaros, so demons will probably be forced to survive solely on meat. Hellfire demons seem to prefer human meat in particular, according to a few of the lore excerpts.
I could imagine there being a debuff for herbivore-based beastmen when they eat meat. They probably won't be blocked from it completely, since that would make the survival aspect of the game way more difficult for them than the other races, but a small debuff would be a good way to discourage players from doing it unless they have no choice.

RE: I don't get the abilities
Even the rank 1 abilities probably won't be random, since a few days after alpha comes out, someone will almost certainly make a thread with a list of all the different abilities and their requirements. Then there will be wikis and such.
