I'm interested in knowing what types of foods are available, and if you can survive on the planets with a restrictive diet or not?
For example, if I want to only eat things that bleed, will I suffer in any way by avoiding berries, and fruits and plants or such?
Will it depend upon race? I know the beastmen, some will have taken form of obligate carnivores, some of herbivores, will they be able to eat of animal or plant kingdom equally as if they have evolved to become omnivores? Or will they need to stay within the restrictive diet their primal forms started with?
Will demons be more powerful if they consume only by killing?
Could what we eat affect our constitution depending on our food choices in real life?

@greenfire This information is not yet available, so your questions are unlikely to be answered.
-
@muker It's likely that if players discuss it though, they'll consider it and might hit us with a teaser though, no?
Or is it best to just sit back, not speculate at all and see what will come with no player interaction at all? Perhaps they really should close the forum for the next several months till the game is up to let us talk about it once the information is available no?
-
All of the listed beastkin can eat meat. While rare, deer do eat meat.

At the moment we only have 6 news from the category "FEATURE SPOTLIGHT". They developers and notify players about the mechanics of the game. If you want to suggest your idea, it should be placed in the discussion section. At the moment, the moderator will probably answer your question or say that this news will be posted later
-
@muker In the meantime, do you personally have something against player speculation? Or is it just habit that you try to shut down conversations?
-
@jetah perhaps it could be a quest on the way to becoming an abomination, no?
-
Google translate might not pick up queues that they want to convey.
-
@jetah perhaps, but I am curious, where is the discussion section, if not here?
-
@greenfire
I was just trying to answer your question, that's all.
-
Here is fine! Speculation is fine too

I was just trying to answer your question, that's all.given that my question is speculation, and an opening to a discussion, maybe you can join in on the idea of it then, hmmm?

@greenfire I'm not keen on cooking a little in the games, so I probably can not say anything intelligible. But can be as something and will comment on
-
@muker Greenfire wants to have a discussion about the various types of food we might see in-game. There's nothing wrong with that.

We do know that there will be very little flora on Tartaros, so demons will probably be forced to survive solely on meat. Hellfire demons seem to prefer human meat in particular, according to a few of the lore excerpts.
I could imagine there being a debuff for herbivore-based beastmen when they eat meat. They probably won't be blocked from it completely, since that would make the survival aspect of the game way more difficult for them than the other races, but a small debuff would be a good way to discourage players from doing it unless they have no choice.
-
@specter I understand that very well. I simply replied that at the moment there is almost no information.
-
So that opens up the conversation, will players who wish to live a raw, vegan, or raw, carnivore lifestyle, be penalised in some way compared to players who cook? Will players who don't like to cook need to employ someone who likes to? Will we encounter a culinary guild to meet the needs of those too busy to do for themselves, or like in UO, need to employ another character to do for us? Should we HAVE to? What if we do actually want our character to identify with a particular choice of eating, for ethical reasons etc?

According to the lore, Beastmen eat their enemies, so they certainly have no problem with eating meat.
-
I'm going to take a guess there will be bread
-
@nelchael I imagine a vegan Hellfire demon might be an interesting choice for one who wishes to become an angel.
