@gothix Hmm I do your point in a palette of situations being beneficial. I edited my comment as I had no read any of the other comments are yours seems like they are in fact putting in the effort to make different versions of said abilities Makes more sense and am happy with that conclusion!

RE: Power gap between r1 and r3 spells is too big (POLL)
I think waiting to reserve judgement until later is the wisest choice like others have pointed out. That said, I do feel a little that this whole 'a noob should be able to beat a vet' notion is used as if should be casually done. It shouldn't in reality. If you're a noob you shouldn't assume these things are wait until you've gained knowledge yourself before actively running into battle with more experienced players. I know the game is marketed as horizontal progression but that doesnt mean everyone is equal along all playing fields. Even in moba's and the like, everyone has the same tools (characters, abilities, items and levels all starting from the same place) but there are ranks and tiers accordingly to section of the player base to those closer to their playing field. I'm quite alright with someone being relatively more powerful than me if they have spent several weeks gaining knowledge over me. Doesn't mean I couldn't beat them if my skill is higher, but their strength should reflect the time spent, however minor that is compared to other mmo's where level 60's one shot the level 10's. 250% does seem particularly high but even 100-150% im quite alright with. I mean, I see no point in searching for knowledge if it gives me no benefit, especially if it required a lot of time investment.

RE: The Fractured Store Is Live!
It's nice to be given this option. That alpha 1 is looking mighty tasty lol.

RE: Suggestion - herb gardens and a spice trade
I'm not sure if someone else has mentioned it but Life is Feudal has an interesting take on herbs. Combinations of certain herbs and plants give you different results and all combinations are different for each player so the discovery is always present for everyone. You cant just google every combo. I like it that way. Having some sort of version of this?

RE: [PvP Poll] If you had to chose, what type of PvP do like more?
Naturally occurring, all the way. For all of BDO's faults, its PvP at the beginning of the games life was pretty good. Guilds fighting over nodes and spawns led to the best of player generated content I had experienced in a while.

RE: how do you want your pet and npg?
@gothix all great points, fully agree.

RE: how do you want your pet and npg?
There will be two types on pets, cosmetics and non-cosmetic. One will be involved in combat the other will just be for visuals. Id rather the non-cosmetic pets also pick up items and money tbh, that these abilities be more interlocked with gameplay rather than a wallet.

RE: I feel that we need an RP server, this game is perfect for that
I agree with @Gothix and @Kralith , whilst I can sympathise with the desire to be around like minded people, if there are no RPer's then those who never tried before would not know if they would be interested. You could always make an RP town? That way you can still hold more of your own 'world' and those who have an interest could still dip their toes in. And those who want to 'ruin' and be 'silly' as Gothix points out can just be handles the way he suggested.

RE: What kind of a playstyle will your first character have?
Im going for the support mage type myself too. Going to go for a build between the restoration, divination, abjuration, alteration and enchanting school trees. Being a well known enchanter would be pretty awesome and makes you quite vital to a guild of exploration party.

RE: Cross-gender playing
Depends the class I choose. Some classes just seem better as a certain gender. An exmple is if the male avatars are massive and I'm playing a rogue, it just seems jarring for me and would opt for a female character.

RE: Inquiry About Race Customization
Going beastmen, and most likely the Hart-kin (Elks) since they will be the mages of the group

RE: Massive battles: will "big numbers" always win?
@bubbo said in Massive battles: will "big numbers" always win?:
Friendly Fire, no more mindless zerg
This is brilliant actually.

RE: World affairs
I will admit I have my reservations on that gear is slightly trivial, but I'm holding judgement until I get hands on or view someone else. Skills seem to be the 'gear' of this game, the problem with that is there usually ends up being a meta which everyone then spams, I find that very annoying personally. But again, there hasnt been any hands on so all this is just me speculating.
It will definitely look different visually as there will be plots of land and buildings thrown around areas that originally had none. Whether there will be combat all around, I could only imagine so. Once people figure out the best resource nodes and area, mats and so on guilds will most likely fight for those sections.

RE: im a bit worried about full loot system in term of pvp
@omarxz11 As someone pointed out its still a problem you've induced on yourself. You are going after people that you dont want the gear of, therefore you get gear you do not want. They said gear wont have a huge effect on gameplay, but that doesnt mean it wont have any. I'm sure there will be some gear that is marginally better than others. Its the same as any other survival game, if you dont want to lose gear you wont wear it but then you also lose its advantage by not using it. Its simply a managing area of the game. If you dont like it then this game most likely isnt for you as it is a core function, its not something that will change, especially because a minority wants it.

RE: im a bit worried about full loot system in term of pvp
@omarxz11 Because the game is based around risk and reward with no grind in it. If you dont want to have a chance to lose anything play as a beastkin and your chances of that are reduced dramatically as long as you stay within safe zones.

RE: How do people get so many points?
Posting really, although I will say getting to a certain tier where a good amount of daily points helps. Making 25 daily points plus the extra 50 from posting is pretty good obviously winning a weekly draw helps!

RE: Feature Spotlight #7 - Towns, Governors & Politics
I do like how player based it is, especially that individuals are elected. Good stuff!
