RE: Games Without AH
NPC wage is only needed if you need a currencies sink. in any other way, no need to create a complicated system that people will not enjoy.

RE: What albion did wrong- not a bash thread
as 6 years player of albion, i can tell that this the worst game i played, and i still play just because there is no other game like it, up to fractured....
let me list it:-
grind, never ending stupid grind that have no fun in it.
-
no skill, the best item win, very few builds that are known and all use.
-
PVP connection to reword, it doesn't matter if you manage to kill a t8 boss, or manage to do something good, all the items are connected to PVP and all PVE are just places that force you to meet other players and fight them. players that do not like to PVP and like crafting or gathering or PVE can't go to the top item places since it has 100% death. the developers like to say higher risk = higher reward, but its just bad gameplay.
-
and the most impotent for me you can't play the game solo, even if you find a dungeon that is solo, you will not get from it the same rewards as in 5 players team, for the same amount of time invest.
-
this one should be the most impotent one, the developers are BAD, they use favertisem, and listing to a few player that usually the most P2W players, they called it "the round table", they ban without reasons, if you criticize them, they lie, and do not tell the full truth.

RE: How big should guilds allowed to be?
do not forget that, not like albion, there will be FF on human and demon planet, so doesn't matter what the size of the guild, too many people and they will lose.
-
RE: can the forum be the main source of game knowledge and not discord?
@Shivashanti well i hope things will be tested before getting scrap... and well the core ideas shouldn't be changed... to me the FF idea, is as important as horizontal progress, you do not expect this things to be changed.
@Savitr not all question need to both on forum and on discord, but all new information do need to be.

@Razvan said in Bummer for me: "Hello Governor! A few city-claiming tips for you...":
@grofire
What I meant is: since you can't build top tier facilities on your hermit plot, it makes more sense to resort to economic activities that don't require those buildings if you plan to live in the wild.Your question focuses on why you can't build top tier facilities on plots outside towns. I don't have a good reason, but I think the devs answer is that they want to make town plots more attractive since that's where all the focus will be.
i see what you meant.
ya the issue for me its that you can't do this. -
RE: keys for the test
i have no idea, but i wished they posted here so people will not try anymore.

RE: What is the point of having your own plot of land?

Actually, Solo play has been a major aspect of MMOs since their inception with Ultima: Online. The point of MMO is to have a massive shared world where what you do has an affect, and what others do has an affect as well. There is competition, not just for scores on a leaderboard, there is the chance to group up to overcome very big challenges, like Mega-bosses, but a player can also stay solo, and spend their time in game maybe practicing skills, only to sell their wares to other players instead of just to NPCs.
Guild/Large group players just have to realize that Solo players have their place to, and every right to expect the game to also make the game fully playable by them.
A shared world is my point. Some solo players only want to be able to do everything on their own, without needing to interact with others at all. Solo players do have their place, but one person being able to achieve exactly the same thing as a team of 20 people is ridiculous. If a player doesn't want to become a citizen, that's fine, but then they should not be able to enjoy the privileges of citizenship. If it's about available crafting/being locked out of crafting, then they should either join a city, or trade with other players who are citizens.
if for a solo player it take a year to get what the group got in a week, what do you care ????
it stupid to think that only part of the players should enjoy some features... it bad business, bad gaming experience and bad set of mind.
the all purpose of this game is to take care of every single player, that why there is 3 worlds: PVP, little PVP and PVE, if you understand this, you can prohibit content from solo players. -
RE: shitty game
@GamerSeuss said in shitty game:
I saw some general complaints, many of which, when taken specifically as you could filter them into, were about elements of a game that are pretty much industry standard traits of most MMOs. (Losing all your stuff when dying, needing to grind to get ahead, etc...)
im playing MMO since 1995, in many Korean MMO games, and some western, the longest time was on DragonRaja, while i haven't played on UO, and i can tell you that the standard was that stuff didn't drop when you died.
the first game that i played, that your items drop on dying, was AO.
that why i liked this game, 3 planets, 1 can be full PVP with drop loot, and the 2nd is moderate PVP, and the 3rd is no full PVP or i guess its PVP with no loot drop.Frankly, as my sister, Stormbug said, the OP is more than likely a Troll, just getting off on people's responses that feeds his/her ego while refuting his claims. I see no 'White Knight' syndrome responses...mostly what I see is people saying "if it's not for you, go find another game", "what kind of games do you consider fun" and "what would you have done to make it better, where's the constructive criticism"
it doesn't matter if the OP is a troll, some of criticism is correct like @Roccandil said, i feeling some of that too, the game was interduce as one and now its seems changed, and we haven't heard from the Developers on this matter...
there was about 7 different post on forum talking about solo playstyle vs city\group gameplay on the game, and there is merit since the game was (more then 2 years ago) interduce as welcoming to all playstyles, i hoped that the Developers will answer to anyone one of that posts.
maybe @Prometheus can join and help clear where the game is going? -
RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
@Nekrage said in The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight:
This is not how Fractured was advertised and we are seeing a completely different game begin to appear. This marks the turning point.
stop with this BS lie! this game was advertise as a game with all gameplay accepted.
i do not know when you joined the game, but i joined from its first year, in no point this game was advertised as a PVP game or guild only game.
its finally got back to its roots. -
RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
@Nekrage no one got into that resolution at the first year, but as i said before, it was said all game play are accepted and welcome.
in no point, until people like you showed up, this game was considered guild only game. -
RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
@Nekrage you might not said you want guild only game, but that was the situation in the last tests.
if your guild is so small that you can't kill your enemy before they go inside your city or after, then you need this rules more then anyone else. -
RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
@Nekrage ya ya, your so hardcore gamer, that you fear rival guild will come to your territory, and you will not able to kill them before or after they go inside the city. LMAO.
-
RE: Most of the newer changes kind of just suck.
@Donk dude, the game will have 3 planets, its really not worth talking about PVP since the game will have a full planet for PVP....
in my post i have said nothing on the grind, and ya i think there is grind, and i posted about it a few times in the past.
