Can you edit your hero profile after its creation?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I don't want to just haphazardly create a profile if I'm later on going to potentially regret some decision or other that I might make during the creation process.
Also, what exactly is the function of a hero profile if I might ask?

Yes. There is a big edit hero button on it once you create it

Hero profile on web is not connected with the actual game in any way.
It's just so you give other players you communicate with in forums a general idea on what are you planning to play. If you are unsure you don't need to create it. And if you do you can change it afterwards, so no worries.

You can also completely delete your hero and start over again with a different race if you want.

I wish the site would let us save multiple iterations of our chosen hero profile and let us choose which one we want to be active and displayed.
