What should a first-time player expect from the Alpha 2 that has not been mentioned below?

Alpha 1 - Test 1 has come and gone, and it's been glorious! We've received great feedback on the basic mechanics of the game, and are truly glad to know they've been appreciated by most of the community
Alpha 1 - Test 2, is set to start in June - exact day to be revealed. Aside from the obvious bug fixes and QOL changes, here's a roadmap of what we'll be working on in the next two months!

bugs, things not working as intended, bears killing you in 1 hit. posting on the Alpha forums. not able to crafting weapons or arrows.
it's alpha so expect things to not exist nor work correctly.

as for your question:
- testing basic features
- hitting bugs and reporting them
- trying to imagine how the game will look like later
- being aware about, that many many features and area looks are missing
- Having fun to help the studio to get the foundation of the game working in the right way
