The riddle cave

Hey guys, as we are waiting for some more info about the game, why not waiting with some riddles ? I already asked one in the daily message post, and @Casgadom said I could create a topic for that (and I hope for you you will not be the only one to answer !! ). As I said, I will principaly pick riddles from "Le grand livre des Γ©nigmes" (yes, french title ), and from some others books or app.
If somebody give the right answer, I will give the next riddle, but I don't know if I will make a point ranking or no ^^ (a ranking with no rewards ).So, let's start. Here it is the second riddle (I already give the answer of the first in the daily post), I past it from the daily post :
A papal legate want to assist to a secret meeting held by the Cathars knights. To be admit, he need to give the password to the guard at the entrance. He hide him and listen at the person who appear.
A man come. The guard say :"Five". The man answer :"Four". The man enter.
A second one come. The guard say :"Six". The man answer "Three". The man enter.
A third come. The guard say :"Nine". The man answer :"Four" The man enter.
The papal legate go to the guard. The guard say :"Seven".
What do you must answer ?Hope you will enjoy

First of all it's not really a password - more of a code.
I knew the answer right away
Very easy.
Even too easy.
-
@esher four?
-
@lehuan5062 Wrong ^^ Why did you think that ?
@tulukaruk The password is a code Thanks to let people search a litlle
-
I admit it took me a few minutes to figure out, but I believe I got it. I won't give the answer away though. I will pm you the answer. Let me know if I got it? xD
-
You got it I think I will let one or two day each riddle, to let the time for everybody to think ^^
But yes, if you think you have the right answer, you can PM me if you wont put it here
-
@esher got it! PM'd you
-
Soo that was kinda simple right away if it's what I'm thinking I'll PM you to let the other's think for themselves
-
Yeah, this one is an easy riddle for sure.
Hint: The reply the guard will give to the "answer" of this question is "four" if the legate gives the "answer" of this question as the next number
-
oh come on, just tell me the goddamn answer xD
-
@tulukaruk and @chrightt PM me to give me the answer
-
@esher said in The riddle cave:
@tulukaruk and @chrightt PM me to give me the answer
I gave the answer in my post It might be a bit hidden but it's there
-
Do we have a spoiler function in this forum? By the way @Esher : told you more would be interested
-
@casgadom I already search for a spoiler system, but it seem there is not ^^ And sorry, but I don't really understand the meaning of your last phrase
By the way, the time for this riddle is over !!
The answer (listen, @lehuan5062 ) was "Five". To find it, we must count the numer of letters in the word, and there is five letters in "Seven".
@HolyAvengerOne , @Frost , @Garlic , @tulukaruk and @chrightt found it. Let place to the next one !Two master glaziers are in competition to realize the stained-glass windows of the cathedral of Chartres. To decide between them, the archbishop challenges them :
"Here it is a glass square of 24 centimeters aside and a ring of 5 centimeters in diameter.The one who will cut this glass in four equal parts so that they can pass in the ring without broke it will win."How could they do, knowing that they have a diamond to cut the glass in all directions ?
For the answer, you could do a draw, take a picture of it and sent it to me Good luck ! (I hope nobody know this one ^^ )

Just to be clear - equal means the same shape or the same area?
-
Ah man. This one sounds too complicated for me xD
-
Ok. I see they can be exactly same shape. Now - how do you send PM here? Me is too stupid to find it. Or is is that chat thing in profile?
-
@tulukaruk Yeah it's in profile
-
@tulukaruk Same shape and same area
@Garlic Don't give up, @Vengu found in one or two hours
-
Sorry, I got no clue what your second question is talking about, can you try and translate the problem better? Are you saying there is a ring with 2.5cm radius and a 24x24cm square?
