The riddle cave

Well, had to do a bit of Paint magic, sent it in a PM. Was just a guess, but seems to fit well, even did some math to check
-
@chrightt You have a 24*24 square and a ring with 5cm radius. You must cut the glass in 4 equal parts in area and in shape. Is it better ? My english is not the best, sorry ^^
-
@esher said in The riddle cave:
@tulukaruk Same shape and same area
@Garlic Don't give up, @Vengu found in one or two hoursMore like 5 or so minutes.
-
@vengu Sorry, I counted the time to see your message
-
@esher radius is half of diameter. they're "r" and "d" in math. so what do you mean exactly?
-
The glass is 24 by 24 cm and the diameter of the ring is 5 cm.
-
@vengu i was hoping it's 5cm radius xD
-
@esher Sorry, I was wrong ^^
-
Post all the answers after it's over I'm curious what the other draw. And what the original answer was.

Well, I actually learnt that Paint has a lot more to it than I ever thought. Super simple and handy, and allows a good degree of precision ^_^

I'm mostly interested in the content, not the technique

So, time to think to the riddle is over ! First, I'm really sorry if some people did not found the answer because my translation was bad I try to do it without reverso or Google translate, but sometimes, it could be better ^^' SO, here it is the two different answers I got :
@Fyrsey and @Vengu found the first one, the original answer, and @tulukaruk found the second.Next riddle !
The Louis IX soldiers enter in a 50km-long forest by the west. Their maximum speed is 10km/h. This day, wind blows at 80km/h eastward. One hour later, ennemies start a fire on all the West border. The wind spread the fire at 80km/h eastward. The king understand fire will reaches them before they can leave the forest.
What the king will do to save them ?Good luck !
-
A little hint for the riddle : why not fight fire by fire ?
-
@esher please don't make it more harder :v
-
Just please don't make it "they have to start fire on their position" cause that's not how fire in the forest works
-

This. If the answer is "the king starts a fire in front of him to ensure it can't burn when the fire behind them reaches them", it's an answer that doesn't make sense. Forests burn for hours and all over the place.

Maybe it does in science, not really sure. It's a riddle, after all, not a firefighter's manual

If common sense and knowledge prevents you from getting the right answer then it's not a good riddle Hopefully the answer is different. The other riddles were logical.

Ah...hem....what can I say ? ^^" Sorry, Vengu, but you was wright, the answer is "The king and his soldiers start a fire to. With the wind, the fire will spread eastward, and the king will be able to walk into the burned part, and the ennemy fire will stop behind them ^^ I don't really know how work a forest fire when there is wind, but you seem to know more, @tulukaruk ^^ Sorry if I gave the answer, but you seem to disagree with it x)
-
No worries. We can sometimes disagree The other riddles were great so please go on
