Anyone play with people who don't speak the same language?

So my clan in another game, decided to merge with the next biggest clan, and all but two of the members speak only Russian. Typically it seems like there is a huge distrust between English (American) players and Russian ones, but I'm having a riot.
My clan uses Discord quite a bit for discussion, and we let clan leaders and members from other clans join, which is how we ended up becoming friendly with our once biggest enemies. (I've been zeroed several times by their resident whale hahaha)
They use Telegram, and used to use Line. Well, I can tell you, that on Telegram, using google translate, which is built in, leads to some rather interesting translations.
Yesterday I had one of them tell me in Russian, something that translated to him saying he was unsure which soap he should use, and that one must first stand up if they wished to go out into the night.
Wise words. (other translations are worse) So he was really telling me that he wasn't sure what email he used for joining my Discord... and that he needed to get out of bed to go find it. Slang... is your enemy when relying on translators to talk to each other!
Anyone else have fun with people who you can't understand without a translator?

"kicked his ass" comes out rather much like a description of a porno I never want to watch...
I'll try to remember to share the best translations as they come up, much more fun than a daily spam.

I'm not from an English speaking country and sometime I find it difficult to communicate in games. I don't even know that I should call "English speaking country" or "English spoken country" lol

Years ago I was allied with a guild who spoke Korean. Played with them for years. Best thing I've ever done in a game. I ended up learning the language, though I'm not fluent, and plan to teach in South Korea in the near future.

I remember that I used to play Quake Champion beta with a Malaysian on Singapore server. We did party play every time we saw each other in game. We both had to use English which we were not really good at.

@daz I wish everyone only spoke Aussie, I hope you're okay with mild sexual harassment? I once spent 13 hours on voice with a gaming friend from Aus while he played lol cause I just wanted some nice background noise. Hubby can't quite do the Aussie accent, it comes out more South African, it's a damn shame...

@daz I totally had an Aussie friend when I was a teen who went by "Daz". Now I'm wondering if this is an Aussie thing.
