[FRAC-2302] can't use skills coz no reasons at all?

I am trying to cast my archer skills, but it tells me I can't, because I am wearing heavy armour... even when ima not wearing ANYTHING at all...

I was able to use all my skills perfectly fine just 2 days ago. It's ever since i put all my gear in the bank and equipped the basic rags armour... which is light, not heavy.

I think the game thinks my weapon is a piece of armour for whatever reason. Instead of a ranged weapon. It musta been fckd up in one of the patches in the last 2 or 3 days.

Yeah this totally killed it for me
I only have an archer..... not being able to use the few archer skills makes playing a NO NO for me.

The Longbow is considered a Heavy Weapon, and I think some of the archery skills require a non-heavy weapon as well as armor.

I would suggest taking a look at the picture properly before commenting. I have every possible archer skill in my hotbar and NONE of them are lit up to be able to be used. Most of them just require a ranged weapon, not a specific weight class. This bug has killed the alpha for me till it gets fixed... and it shouldn't even have developed. What could the devs possibly have done during a patch to mess this up? It wasn't an issue 2 days before i created this bug thread.
Also, skill armour requirements are only affected if you are wearing the wrong weight-class armour. Wearing nothing at all has no effect on your skills.

I try to find and usually post tonnes of bugs in the alphas i get to play. but this has just killed the alpha for me... I log in and run around for 5 mins before i log off, coz i can't use the skills i worked hard to get... and there has even been a patch since i posted the bug, where it wasn't fixed.

What do you think players would do if it was magic skills that had this issue? something like probably 40%of players use... They literally wouldn't be able to play their characters.

Man relax, you are using HEAVY longbow, your skills requires MEDIUM or LIGHT bow.

No, Xzait is correct... archery skills are broken at the moment.. I hadn't noticed cause they had worked for me with a shortbow a while back, but as he claims.. they were broken in one of the patches.

The weight of the weapon doesn't matter for most bow skills. the light/medium requirements is in the armour, not the weapon class. I will send a screenshot as proof. Also, looking at my initial screenshot, the game is saying I am wearing heavy armour specifically, despite not having any armour equipped at all. If i try to use stealth with a heavy longbow (which i don't have this test), it will tell me that i am using a heavy weapon, as you can only use medium weight weapons with it.

You are trying to use medium equipment skills with heavy bow, just use medium bow.
