What unusual weapon types would you like to see?
-
an off-hand tankard to parry with, or just to fill it with the blood off your foe and quench your thirst mid-fight!
-
@dagimir i would like to see a gun that shoots magic enchantments
-
Twin blades and fighting nun chucks
-
any kinds of spears or staffs would be cool
-
@mehwar
In Tower of druaga, Fatina has a weapon to cast her spell. it's not a gun but kind of.
What do you think?
-
I would like to see a dual wielding.
-
Unusual?
Probably realistically looking weapons, no oversized fantasy stuff appearing to weight more than 5 kgs (unless youre demon / bear)

@asspirin Oversized weapons should be limited to characters with 20+ strength only as it looks so far as that should be one of the bonuses for reaching 20 in strength - ability to wielde "massive" weapons.
indeed, who doesn't enjoy carrying an oversized weapon, but if everyone can carry them, then it's not oversized because it's the norm for everyone. If it's a limited thing that people carry into combat, then people carrying them would enjoy showing them off, and people seeing them being carried would know to be afraid

+kind of astral blade/staff aka knight-enchanter weapon from DAI
+just chain wrapped around fist
-
I would love to see human tech being used in weaponry as well.
Besides eye implants, to enchance night vision, leg implants to enchance speed, perhaps (mortal komat) hand inplants to chain pull target to yourself "come here!" or tech traps to slow enemy targets. Implants for weapons to enhance precision and more.

@Meiki
It would sure make sense to require big strength to wield big weapons, but the game is not simulation but fantasy and neccesity of STR is already reflected in abilities (more strength = more damage due to more proficiency), having STR reqs on weapons / INT reqs on staffs etc would be quite limiting.

i would like to, not per se have unusual weapons, but more a mix & match of common weapons, materials, recipes and usage styles. Mixing & matching as a kind of crafting, with (or without) magic and skills to wield them. (i.e. anyone can pick up that bow, but you do normally not become instantly an excellent archer because of the bow. If the bow is magically enhanced to make you a better archer, then someone who is an excellent archer should reap the benefits and become an legendary archer. longer usage of a single type (or even specific weapon) makes you more adept with it.
(personally i would wish for a non- min/max system, but there is always someone datamining because it is possible. - it's a personal thing. it ruins most games for me.)
