Slavery

Should we have slavery to work under our feet? Treating the slaves work in a garden to produce food or finest herbs. or probably go with us on our marvelous Adventure that can help us carried loot. Should slaves be in the system that we can control over?
Unless you wanted a maid for your personal reason

@yumramens would be usefull, but probably it won't happen. We have a pet on our side who follows us (for expl. the fox)

That's a very interesting question you have here, Fyrsey. NPC "slavery" is not a planned feature as of today.
NPCs will play a big role in Fractured - guilds will be able to attract them to their villages / towns, where they can settle and start their own businesses. They'll have proper names, be more or less skilled in different activities and - to an extent - have different personalities.
Reducing all of this to "slavery" (Γ la Conan Exiles) would downplay the whole system a lot
Our resources will be carried by Mounts

This is quite an excellent post. So the only 'slaves' in fractured would actually be a necromancer's undead.

WoW had slavery. Lots of it. Was a core plot point. So did many other "PG" rated games.
Thrall himself was a slave at one point. (Lore lesson, his name actually translates to 'Slave')
I don't think there needs to be any game mechanics tied to it, but in the lore/world, I'm sure it would make sense for slavery to exist.

@muker this seems interesting!!! cant wait for the dev journal on cities!!!

@midoriya True True, Like having a horse can carry our stuff and faster transportation.

maybe paying npc's to work for you, but slaves is kinda going to far haha
-
There was another post about it. We came up with a limited duration slavery.

https://forum.fracturedmmo.com/topic/409/a-delicate-question-slavery/1 There's some comments on page two from the devs about it.

Technically a lifetime contract (as was announced with the kickstarter immortal package) is awfully close to slavery of a carpenter =D , I will name him Worm and he/she will warm my toes when not building my barns.
Now if only I could get a lifetime musician contract...
