@rhicuun Considering that the races are planet-based, it's entirely possible. Probably too early at this point to say for sure though.

I imagine it's within the realm of possible, but I doubt it until much later post-release.

@rhicuun I just answered that question yesterday. In General, the developers have given us to review 8 races, over time (after release) will appear others.

Maybe, it looks like is more focused on the diferent hablities of the humans races first, maybe will be easier to develop the game being on juat one race

I'd say not in so close future, because they are focused on finishing the original game right now.
However, down the line, why not? If interest will be large it's quite possible to create a new planet, and a new race living on it, perhaps with a bit different PvP rules too.
It's even possible to fit it in the lore. This planet existed ever since the other planets did (when they were all created after the event), however due to some astronomical phenomenon it was not visible from other 3 planets and no one knew it existed. A mysterious race was living in isolation on it, holding secret knowledge not known to other races on other planets.
This would be quite a nice way to implement an expansion.

What mechanics would a 4th race have to separate them from the others?
I think a cool feature for a 4th race would be "Permanent Death". Maybe slightly overtuned characters, but once they die - they are wiped clean. There's a niche community that really enjoyed permanent death features in Diablo 2, 3, Path of Exile, Everquest, and even World of Warcraft (Granted in the last two, there were no features to support it - it was on an honor system).
I think a permanent death race would add a "Wow, THERES A ______!" moment to any encounter.
Of course the race would be PvP flagged at all times like Demons.

I would say they would add a few more races down the track. Once they see how the game develops and the activeness of the community playing.
