That will happen to us more and more in future.
Some people just don't inform themself about obvisious things thats on the Page itself. Also there is this "Create a new topic" and "Post 10 times on Forum" Foundation quest. So it's easy for them to get that points without thinking about useful content.
We need to get used to it and just repeat and repeat an repeat our information posts.

I kind of wish moderators could take foundation points away from people who ask about things that are in the FAQ. There'd be a lot less of these pointless threads then.

@nelchael When I got acquainted with the project, I was also not interested in the FAQ, so I do not see the point to remove such people from the points of the Fund

We can, but they make the community look bad to newcomers.
If you want want to ask a question, you have to read the FAQ first. That's why we have a FAQ thread. If you're too lazy to check before spamming the forum, you should lose points. That's my opinion.

@twentyonebones We can not know if the people just looking for grind foundation points. There might be some who just not know it better. We always should stay friendly and helpful, even it will be a pain to answer all this posts.

@nelchael I would be down for people to lose points, maybe based on a community voted thing looked over by moderators though, otherwise some unlucky people would just lose points for either missing an answer to a question already asked, or not getting the answer the first time so asking again etc. Although I see what you mean about having to answer.
