Definitely something I'm wondering/worrying about, too. I hate seeing how most publishers love to come in and start making demands about things being done a certain way, because that never works out in the customers'/players' favor.

RE: Inquiry About Race Customization
@civ2011 I'm figuring to go pure Beast, since I personally can't stand PvP unless I'm in a VERY specific kind of mood. Not sure which particular sub-race I'll lean more towards yet.

RE: This game is a potential PVE gold mine
@needlehawk Amen! I'm glad to see that there's folks out there that have the same overall view I do. One of the big reasons I avoid most MMOs out there is that I want to be able to play without constantly worrying about some other player deciding my shoulderblades would make a good sheath for their sword.

RE: Graphics or Gameplay?
Gameplay, 100%. Doesn't matter how awesome the graphics are if the gameplay sucks

RE: Cross skill tree skills?
@alcriblp Having some kind of mixed-start requirement for certain effects would definitely open up some interesting character concepts.

Hellfire Demon -> Holy Fire Angel -> Ashen Fallen Angel --> Cleaned-Up Angel -> Relapsed Fallen Angel -> Rehab Angel

@tulukaruk GOOD, for sure some content is "restricted" to a party, the importat is the 50% of the content can done also in solo.
Sono contento di vedere che io non sono l'unico che vuole buon contenuto solista.

RE: Why Magic users will be OP compared to physical users
@fibs said in Why Magic users will be OP compared to physical users:
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this already, but another nerf to magic users is if magic has a cast time and can be interrupted. In Elder Scrolls Online this requires an attack marked as an interrupt, while in Ragnarok Online taking any damage is an interrupt.
And, at least as far as I've seen, pretty much most MMOs have some kind of mechanic for spell interruption.

RE: A Point of Concern: "Horizontal Progression"
@myux said in A Point of Concern: "Horizontal Progression":
Yeah, if the longevity and population of the game wasn't something to worry about I wouldn't mind gear and other items being unimportant either. This is only really a topic worth your time if you're actively wanting to help the PvP/PK scene.
Here's the thing: Longevity of an MMO isn't solely tied to PvP/PK. It might be a part of it, but that's not the core factor in it.

RE: Classes
Amen. While I like old-school "traditional" style games, it's nice to see something that breaks that mold.
The no-classes and pick your skills to build what you want is yet another major reason why this game appeals to me.
Been so long since we had that in a game

RE: Larger Crafting Possibilities?
That's one thing I like from Age of Conan. Guilds can build up their bases, using resources gathered and made by members.

RE: Gods and Alignments
Gonna be interesting to see what kind of impact the gods have in game.
-
RE: Fighting Sense, and knowledge
To me, the thought of having to learn what skills look like what adds to the immersion, since you can't just look at someone and know what they know how to do,

RE: A Point of Concern: "Horizontal Progression"
I guess I don't see the whole "must get awesome gear" thing as a big deal since I'm primarily a PvE guy.

RE: [Discussion] Ingame currency system, what we want to get?
In a way, I actually prefer the thought of a barter-ish system. It makes gathering resources that much more impactful.

RE: The arrival of KS boyss!
Felt amazing to read the email about the success! Can't wait for the game to be ready for us to dive in.

@dulu Amen! That's a lot of time put in.
