You can make animal hide armor from them now as well since you can make the fur on the fleshing beam.

RE: Stagecoaches a Fast-Travel Middle Ground
First, my use of “fast-travel middle ground” was never meant to imply anything like the harbors. With my idea the amount of time to travel from place to place would still be the same, however, you as a player simply would not have to be present the entire time.
The stagecoach would offer folks the chance to rest their eyes, use the restroom, and grab a drink or a snack and so on.
Some thoughts:
Should be attackable, absolutely. How this might work (if it is an automated system) is that the game uses each characters stats to figure out how they fared in the attack and whether or not the lost any or all of their personal items, including gold if they are carrying any. I don’t think that equipped armor or weapons should be at risk. These are my ideas; what are yours?
The stagecoach should be of limited access. Only one per city and once it travels out it must travel back again before it is once again available. This will prevent everyone from traveling this way constantly.
I am still undecided about whether players could or should drive them or if it should be done strictly by NPCs. Like I said in my first post though this is just a very rough idea.

RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong
As you can see I added the dates I took these screen shots to the images. In just the two days between these images we lost 320 prestige despite the fact that we added a building. That additional building should have raised us another 100 so we in fact lost 420 prestige in those two days.
Yes, I know that @LordSkykal has forwarded this issue to the developers but I have to wonder if they realize just how big an issue city leaders find this to be? Do they think that because we don’t lose the levels that we already have that they can wait to fix it? We are trying to reach level 15 so that we can utilize all of the tech available. To see it become impossible to do this is heartbreaking. For the city of Far Far Away it has now become impossible to reach even level twelve. This is not a backburner bug; it is a city breaking problem!

@Unbeaten just in case you missed it, this is from another post on prestige

Stagecoaches a Fast-Travel Middle Ground
There are a great deal of folks that are wishful of a fast travel system. One big reason for this seems to be the boredom of travel. I think I have a solution that solves the boredom without violating the fast-travel rules of the game. My idea, player run Stagecoaches. This isn’t fast travel exactly but the travelers can basically ignore things until their stagecoach arrives at its destination (perhaps announced by a sound)
Keep in mind that this is a rough idea but it would work something like this: a player would be able to build a stagecoach and then sell tickets for travel anywhere that they are willing to haul passengers. The passengers would pay a fee (set by the stagecoach operator/player) to be transported from one place to another and could walk away from the computer during travel. Travelers are guaranteed arrival at their destination, however, if the stagecoach is attacked and defeated they lose a portion of their inventory, but only a portion of their inventory.
It is just an idea and needs a lot of refining and tweaking, but it would make a great way for some folks to earn money and others to skip the boredom of running from place to place.
Of course this could also be run by NPCs.

RE: Master Crafters not Recipe Junkies
@Ulfnaor No need to apologize, but I do appreciate it. It can be a bit tricky to discuss things here on the forums, as nuances of speech are easily lost. While you do have strong opinions you never resorted to name calling, unlike another recent poster, and for that I am most grateful.

RE: Master Crafters not Recipe Junkies
@Contucky
That’s just it, I don’t think folks should be able to get recipes for a sum of money. Recipes should always be earned. Let each player decide which item they ultimately wish to craft and work in that direction. Along the way they must attempt to “learn” a recipe; I described how in an earlier post in this thread. So instead of killing mobs they are crafting for the percentage chance at learning the desired recipe. You end up with most of the same qualities that you like about the current system but with a great deal more benefits to crafters.In my honest opinion, at the moment, true crafters are getting screwed. They are required to go out and fight endless mobs or pay crazy sums of money to obtain recipes that they, by all reason and rights, should be able to learn by crafting or studying.

RE: Master Crafters not Recipe Junkies
@Ulfnaor
The last thing I would want to do is simplify the crafting system. How you got that from anything I said is beyond me. I am all for making it more difficult and I thought I was making that clear when I said “If you are going to be a “Master” in something you must expect to work for it.” Also, as I already stated previously in this thread, killing mobs for recipes has no place in the crafting system, but that does not mean make crafting easy.I hate the current system for obtaining recipes; it makes no sense to me. What we could do though is craft items to obtain a recipe. Example: each crafting station could simply have an “attempt to acquire recipe” function. You place the materials for the item you are trying to craft into the crafting table and select “attempt to acquire recipe” and you have a percentage chance of obtaining the item. The crafting tables already know if you don’t have the required recipe so why not let us try to get it right there? Your percentage chance could be based on the rarity of the materials that you are using.
This will allow folks to master the craft that they wish to and not just what the game forces on them by some random recipe drop. It would also make a nice way to remove resources from the game.
It really would be nice to see crafting expanded upon. I was a crafter in EQ2 and you could get seriously hurt crafting in that game. You actually had to pay attention and interact with the process, not just to avoid injury to your character but to obtain the highest level of quality in the item possible. I am not asking for that level of crafting but more levels would certainly be nice.
As for more items and/or categories, absolutely, but I would like the basics fixed first.

RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong
@Kralith I took this screenshot slightly more than 4 and 1/2 hours ago. So as can be seen we have all of the same buildings from my screenshot to yours but the prestige has gone down. Definite proof of a bug!

Could also add a new town building, A Research Center or School/library that you have to go to instead of town hall.
I like this idea. It is more appropriate than the town hall, as well as adding to the overall feel of the game.

- crafting recipes could be crafted (should not be easy)
How about instead of having to travel to a town with a particular tech it could be any town hall. That eliminates the risk of fighting your way from town to town. At the town hall you pay a sum of gold for your advancement recipe which you then need to craft. This, like you said, should not be easy. Perhaps it could require a great deal of materials or even rare ones. It should, however, be a process that discourages the average player from becoming a "Master Crafter"
Once you have crafted your Advancement Recipe the next level is unlocked for you.
I, personally, like the element of interacting with the town hall as it adds validity to the whole process. Recipes would have to come from a legitimate source, not wolves and bears and wisps, oh my! Also paying a sum of gold makes sense as learning any craft costs money. Crafters would no longer have to be killers or magically rich to further their craft.
In my honest opinion, right now "Master Crafter" has no meaning. You need to be a “Master Killer” to be able to craft advanced recipes and crafting your way up is far too easy.

Master Crafters not Recipe Junkies
First, if we must have recipes then let’s get real about it please. These things can only drop from a mob that can actually utilize a recipe; end of discussion on that one.
Second, can we please get rid of these ridiculous recipes! It was a nice thought, but not practical for many reasons, most of which have been discussed elsewhere.
My solution would be to have folks that want to be master crafters actually have to work in their chosen craft for it. There is already a good start to this in the game. Why not, once a person maxes out the primitive level they have to go to a city with the proper tech and pay a fee at that city hall to advance to the next level. This will allow the player to craft level 2 items, which should take longer and require more materials then the primitive level. Once maxing out level 2 the player again goes to the town hall of a city with the required tech and pays a fee to advance. This continues until the player has mastered their chosen craft. (I do not know what the highest level is; maybe you would only have to do this once)
This makes being a “Master Crafter” actually mean something. The player will have spent time, money, materials, and perhaps risked getting attacked, looted and killed to further their craft. As it stands now being a master crafter has little meaning as the only truly hard part is the recipe drop (and I don’t even want to talk about that)
Just a little note here to those who believe I am suggesting that we make becoming a master crafter a “grind” If you are going to be a “Master” in something you must expect to work for it. If you dislike having to work for it then it is obviously not for you and you are free to purchase you items from those who did the time. The term “Master” is suggestive of someone that took the time and should not be an easy or free title.
Just my two coppers on the subject...

RE: 6 different bugs i found
@GamerSeuss If that is the case then it is the only hide I have found that this applies to. I can craft Warg and Bear just fine so we should be able craft Dire wolf as well. As far as I am concerned it is broke. I investigated it today

RE: Founder's Packs FAQ
@destroyerdeathsmane I believe that they are honoring the lifetime VIP of the Eternal packs. From here on out no one can buy an Eternal Pack. They can only purchase a Platinum Pack and those folks are the ones stuck with only 6 months VIP. Makes me very happy that I bought my Eternal Pack back in 2020!

RE: Fractured site and Glyph site are not in sync...
It gets much worse than that folks. I purchased the Bronze, then the Gold, then the Platinum Packs. This is the mess I have.
I bought the Platinum Pack when it offered lifetime VIP and the pack doesn't show up in Fractured, and nothing shows up in Glyph. At least I have the receipt. I am not happy right now!

RE: Glyph and Re-downloading Fractured?
@LordSkykal said in Glyph and Re-downloading Fractured?:
@Ookywooky At the moment the game cannot be downloaded via the Glyph-launcher.
But do we actually need to delete it in the first place or can we just direct the Glyph launcher to install in the same location? And if we do need to uninstall I would like to know how @Ookywooky and others managed to do it because when I go to my control panel and use uninstall program the only thing that gets uninstalled is the launcher and the short cut. All of the game’s 8 plus gigs worth of files are still present and accessible.

@GamerSeuss said in Glyph and Re-downloading Fractured?:
@TekNicTerror and you're not understanding @StormBug
She's saying if she doesn't have to redownload the game, then she won't delete her current install of the game before ..... She hasn't deleted the files yet, she's trying to see whether she should or not.
Exactly!!! And thank you for understanding basic English.
