welcome to the community @Yumramens its fun here we have a long wait for the game but it's looking promising so far and its only in early alpha.
the forums are brilliant @Malyvern has some brilliant roleplay threads and we are planning on making more being very active. also you can find a lot out about the game in the forums and in the news section and almost everything you do on the website gains you points and in tern give you rewards for in game and on the forums.
there's a lot of friendly people to meet and talk to just gotta wait for an open beta i hope. -
Welcoming newcomers (Group for people who don't want to be in a guild upon launch)
So i understand people wanna be lone wolfs (pun not intended) but want to have friends and a bit of help at the start of the game and so i made this thread so people can come and find other people who want to be lone wolfs but need support on launch. I do have a clan that will be making its home on arboreous and any lone wolf or small group is more than welcome to accompany us in the starting days even if you don't need help to survive it would make for a good supply trading community

well in the real world we have migrating animals so what if each planet had a mass migration of like beholders or goblins or bugbears ? i'm not sure on what style monsters will be in but even the demons could have a migration of something that could mess with them like magma lykons

@finland i'm not saying have a world wide system i was saying you would pay city criers to shout about the town and get the word out and messengers to take the bounty to other cities or to a specific group or person. having it worked out between the players would be good but then payment is never guaranteed and if they do have an official system their needs to consequences for just KOS'ing the target instead of trying to capture and also needs to be a way of stopping people from farming bounties so the only npc bounties should be the most evil characters or the most good characters or as side quests some bandit contracts with a location and once you arrive it would load in and you can then do the said quest their is a lot to look at and it is not as simple as you think it is us players cant be trusted with game mechanics

Dude a bounty is just an amount of money to kill people or bring em back alive, how do you think people took care of competition back in the day. I think you should stay on arboreous were its only PvE

@finland the people at the top of each alignment would want the other top members dead this game is trying to be a living thing and your ideas are quite static and boring tbh a free will world which you cant put bounties on bad guys and bad guys cant put out bounties on goody two shoes are you sure we are the ones ruining it or are you just getting a bit upset about other peoples input after all the devs are asking us for our input

@finland make a nemesis system where if someone steals off you and you see them do it the console acknowledges that and you can then activate that contract but with keeping in the theme of the game i think you should have to pay messengers to send the bountys out or to send out contracts for mercs and alsoyou are forgetting this is free will and rp game wjere people can actively do what they want and wouldnt you wanna see a bounty on the highest karma players and the lowest karma players ?

How hard will it be to Build villages and cities
Will building cities be something you go and farm resources for? or will you be able to able to order logs off other players and hire other players as builders.
Just wondering because this is meant to be a player run economy right? id like to see variation in styles we can build things in and how they get built, what does everyone else think ? -

yeah i was wondering if say a bronze chest plate would be weak to say blunt mace or hammer attacks as it is a soft metal whereas like i say in another post a leather shield would have a bonus against slashing attacks but not piercing as they used certain materials for certain applications and will armor degrade and break over time, use and damage taken?

How should crafting armor and weapons work? how will weapon progression on material side of things?
So i was wondering about how much control over the weapon crafting we will have and i thought i would give my idea of what i would like and be grateful to see.
so in the initial launch will the first shields you make be wood and leather? and would you then learn new ways of making stronger or lighter shields through experience?
I'd like it if we had to learn say from different blacksmiths around the worlds for the techniques and materials to build weapons, say depending on where you are in a world the culture would be different so the armor and guards and troops would have different styles of armor and when you see these you can try to make them and make crude versions until the player makes enough crude ones to get the technique down or will it be in the perk tree i think variation is key with armor but have a maximum on how proficiently you can make armor.
