RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
@temjiu i can see where you are coming from but the player-driven elements brought in with a survival style to the gameplay have you ever played ark survival evolved ?
its going to be more sandbox oriented feeling more like living in a world than climbing through it
i can see your point on arboreous (pve world) but the human world and demon world will have those player-driven elements that keep you on games like ark survival evolved and multiplayer sandboxes in general with the combat of a moba and the scale of an mmo i love the idea personally but i have played all of the types of games this blends together without the benefits of merging the gameplay i.e sandboxes are usually 150 pop max, mmos usually have autotargeted combat, mobas usually have no lasting progression but cool combat putting it together i think this game will be epic personally

RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
@Farlander there is vertical growth but not to the point that you are un-killable like a lvl 60 vs a lvl 30 in WoW you have a talent tree just released some more info on it recently so when you gain knowledge you will be able to spend it on now skills but also on talent points ( https://fracturedmmo.com/roadmap-to-alpha-2-test-3/ ) thats the link to the new post
they will give you vertical progression compared to people who haven't played the game for as long such as getting attributes over 20 as a human is a confirmed 1 but i think you will also get passive buffs to certain types of skills ect such as "Warriors Dance" when you score a critical hit gain 3% evasion for 20 seconds stacking upto 5 times or "Frostbite if you keep an enemy frozen solid for 3 seconds or more consecutively apply a 2% of life damage a second for 10 seconds effect just off the top of my head
i imagine things like this maybe flat increases to stats such as accuracy or evasion and ones that need to be activated like those above idk but in the usual scale of mmos that is quite small as opposed to 10k extra hp and 2k damage crit advantage ect

RE: wondering how a city owner would view this
i have been thinking about it and it would be cool if there was a way when you invite someone to define a business arrangement and a citizenship as 2 different things possibly raising upkeep for the city and giving no upkeep to the contracted party but with the difference that they cant vote on things in the city just to make city owners feel safe when hiring mercs ect but if 1 plot of land = 1 vote you wouldnt really need that system because they can make a guildhouse/shop and still only have 1 vote it would be cool to have a separate style of invite tho with pros and cons for the city owner hopefully we will see it a little clearer soon
-
RE: wondering how a city owner would view this
as much as i would love to own a city and hire mercs as it stands i only have 2 people who will play with me much more likely that i will be able to make a non-city owning guild i thought people would worry inviting a guild will result in losing control of the city if they only have 1 plot maybe the char who owns it is the only 1 who gets a vote not sure
also how will cities work for red players on synthesia can they walk into any city or is it based on governance idk
-
wondering how a city owner would view this
well you guys are probably going to be some of the guys owning cities and i was wondering if presented with mercenaries/red guild(pvp murderers)/ petitioning you for a large plot of land to make a guildhall in return for fighting your battles defending your land/assasinating your enemies would you go for it and let them move in? or maybe only if you were desperate? just wondering i think guilds like that could function quite well with allocating plots of land as a thing so they can make a guildhouse/invite people to their house so they can use it as a guildhouse and if you tire of them/dont need them you can kick them and they will have to move on/murder your gatherers for a day or too then move on
if it was a thing people would likely go for it may make tiers to guilds so not everyone is trying to get a city to own some guilds could just be trying to find a home they can help defend ect others could be trying to make a network of guild houses in lots of cities maybe even a network of rare item shops by a trade guild possibly (would love to see this) a semi rp group of white knights that kill reds and try to set up temples in order to better help syndesia and root out demonic influence and maybe a death cult with ties to the demons lol
my point being that will you guys as possible city owners likely take on groups of people as citizens of your city in exchange for things or will it likely be your friends and your guildies having max palaces and eco for upkeep ect lol

RE: What's your main gonna be?
@Razvan yea i took the bonuses into consideration but humans can have 3 stats at 18 and the other 3 at 10 so with talent perks they will be able to possibly 3 stats at 20 with none under 10 (i want to play demon the most or maybe criminal human we will see lol)
also does perceptions crit values and accuracy work with magical spells? i thought it would be a good stat so i wouldn't be as vulnerable to stealth attacks but in a group setting I think the little bit of survivability from con will be helpful ( not sure what you meant by DD maybe Blood Demon? )
a concept i have been thinking about is making human Assasin with 18 dex 18 per 15 int 15 cha 10 str 10 con scour the lands for the best skills/magic for murdering the unaware get a house where the poison grows then Achieve ninja status

RE: So, what is the plan for "fun"?
i think if you kick everyone they could just reform as a community lol much better to be the boss
-
RE: Whats the probability this game will actually see beta and a release?
ive spent money so i hope so but the lead guy seems real cool if you look for his live talks with oxfurd the most recent one he talks about it i like his views and he talks about such things in a grounded way that is pleasing you should go watch
-
RE: What's your main gonna be?
using the point scores from "feature spotlight 5 character creation"
i think making a human with - 18 strength- 18 dexterity- 15 intelligence- 10 constitution- 15 perception- 10 charisma- using light armor could be a really strong build you have alot of good stats with the ability to put a wide degree of knowledge to use hopefully having the extra ability slots to outplay people using low cooldowns decent crits and a mix of cc/escape/stealth to fight on your terms as much as possiblea variation of this build could be - 15 str - 15 dex - 18 int - 18 con - 10per - 10 cha - making a paladin style build good caster with great life good endurance good evasion
humans are very well rounded and possibly the best race just based on attribute points, in my opinion, giving strong well rounded guys but a blood demon fully maxed towards magical/psychic damage - 10 str- 10 dex - 21 int - 10 con - 6 per - 21 cha - depending on what will hurt each target more int and cha max giving them a great chance to beat resistances and on top of that a "significant boost to luck" because of over 20 charisma to make giving you even more of an edge when it comes to applying effects potentially if well protected i can see a couple of these bursting people down in group fights wish there was somewhere with a complete upto date skill list so i could add more reality to my dreams... they would also be the most powerful necromancers because they have both max charisma and max int hmmmmm necro bard sounds fun summon creatures then fuck with people using musicianship

RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
for me i think the idea of if you dont wanna lose it stay on arboreous is the best 1
-
RE: What we could craft from the glass?
Vials of blood for blood demons hopefully maybe statues for swag, possibly making tinted windows ect for houses
-
RE: Your favorite Dailies, or what you would like to see them as.
i dont really like dailies unless its a daily knowledge boost or something but nothing that rewards items because its all about the player driven

RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
me personally the idea of soulbound equipment dosent belong in fractured and you must be able to make something with mats from other planets i just think there should be a knowledge system tied to learning crafts from other planets so someone who loves crafting can show off
the gear i proposed was no better than the other gear just variations to fine tune your builds or change the damage type from slash to pierce or blunt or potentially at a high enough knowledge and with rare mats maybe change it to an element who knows i just think people like to show something off such as making a heavier weapon for a new friend (slower attackspeed higher on hit damage same dps using something like tartaros iron and some knowledge of its application or wood with lighter properties than normal wood from arboreous to make a quicker variation of a weapon from your races crafts ) that maybe they hadn't seen before
once again i dont care much about crafts but people usually enjoy something to set them apart it would probably be annoying making multiple variations of weapons to craft but the joy people will feel when they come home from tartaros with the ability to craft tweeaked versions of their own crafts ect if they made a smithing ish crafting station that could tweak parts of a weapon that would be epic but maybe hard to have changeable weapon skins but mixing racial crafts and unlocking variations on normal crafts would be a cool horizontal way to add depth without 2 much effort i feel but meh just pointing it out much loove
-edit- if it cost knowledge points to learn such things would serve to diversify characters so one man will be spending on new creature abilities ect and another may be unlocking tier 1 tartaros crafts after that have a questline similar to leveling abilities i.e make 1 of each craft advance to level 2 tartaros crafting unlocking weapons when you get high enough make hybrids of your weapons and the other tech dreeamy idk -edit-

RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
@KairosVal it wasnt my connection it was the connection between oxfurd and prometheus i have watched that vid a bunch of times its a big point for me it annoys me so bad when he starts explaining it and cuts out xD
Also i wish i could get immortal just to have access to the dev forums they would probably hate me after a month
-
RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
@KairosVal sorry i could do with upping my game where typing is concerned
to be honest im not really bothered for me the only reason i have any input is I'm very picky with games and I really like the sound of this one its the only MMO on the horizon for me i must come across as a picky person but i just want to try and flag anything i feel is underwhelming it comes from a place of loooooove i wouldnt be here typing if i had lost hope at all its 4:30 am for me and im just sitting around thinking about fractured lol
i dont really care for crafting as i said im hardcore into pvp just a part of the game that if infused with the race/planet system could be that little bit stronger wont matter to me really just tryna nudge the game in any way i can and this is the only way i can ever have a dev consider that point of view is to try flag it on here.
the make or break for me is endurance and life if other players/yourself can heal your endurance without it subtracting from your life it will make for an immersion-breaking metagame and constitution ending up a dump stat but i have seen prometheus confirm on an oxfurd stream that it will function like that to what degree i dont know because the stream had a dodgy connection and Prometheus's voice kept cutting out so i am still in limbo with that point but this is the only mmo i have any hope left in so im here caring spending £70 odd just to try and back the idea and i just want to say anything loudly to prevent a mess that leaves me hopeless much love to the devs anything i say i say with loooove - edit i also read as much of the current material as i can get my hands on so i make comment based on that also not just gameplay (i have been working still as a care worker so i havent played this alpha im very jealous next 1 i will book off work ^.^ )

RE: Questions and observation on the lack of depth for people who like crafting to define their character
i dont mind what makes rare gear i like that rare items exist on each planet ect but alot of people that play mmos are guild crafters ect some people come on to craft and chat like its habbo hotel lol and the like to stand apart for what they do in some way and i feel like the current system just needs some racial/planetary progression atleast and in my dreams they can combine these things just to add more variety to each weapon type but idk i just want people to be happy im hardcore pvp guy but i want the game to make as many people happy as possible and i dont think it would take too much for it to be something crafters can be proud of when they say check this out ect

RE: is it possible to become a hit man
yea i think often people fall on one side of the fence for me i love pvp i didnt like in ultima that magic kinda gave you a 70 in most other skills and spell books didnt drop meaning it was super cheap to run because you couldnt drop your eq basically and it was just some trash that you dropped 3k l8r and your back on the horse lol
