Making guards nearly impossible to kill is only going to push people to become strong enough to kill them. EverQuest proved it. Every major starting city was wiped out, just to say it could be done. Why? The developers said it would be impossible. They also did not create loot tables on dragons right away because they said they were currently unkillable with the item sets players had.... we killed them all... even without loot. Just to say it could be done. That is the nature of MMO's. Everything that can die will die.

RE: GamesCom 2018!!
I am going to hope for a Gamescom event next year. Being so early now it would just be more of what we just saw. Next year they will have more of a product to show off. With continued development and more people discovering the game I think it will be in a good spot by this time next year, people will be on the look out for it and create a buzz around the booth, you kind of need that to attract even more people. I hope they plan for it!

RE: First-Person Perspective
There are plenty of MMORPGs hitting the market with FPS views. I am glad that Fractured is Iso... its what sold me. I love them both and want to be able to play both based on how I feel. If you are looking for a new FPS mmorpg check out Ashes of Creation or Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, both have high and low points, AoC comes out a bit ahead currently imho but McQuaid is a undeniable force in MMORPGs (EverQuest). All depends on how and what you want to play.

RE: what do you like to see next from the developers?
They should be back in a limited scope this week. Hope all is well and they had a chance to relax..... now its time to make a game!

RE: Multiple Diablo Projects
I still play D3 quite often and I was pretty stoked to see it is still getting some love. Hour to dollar the best deal around. I have sank enough time to dissolve the cost to play that game well into the sub penny per hour. I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to see whats next.

RE: Massive battles: will "big numbers" always win?
Well, if you have more people just as well armed, trained and capable then yes. More wins. But I am here to tell you if you gave everyone in the world a rock and told them to attack a fortified machine gun position with unlimited ammo and a well trained crew of 4 gunners.... you could only hope the mountain of dead would eventually fall on them and cause them harm.

Pictures from their completely deserved vacation!

RE: Any Roleplaying Communities Planned?
@jetah You can get a feel for a game though. It will be raw, and most features will not be fleshed out but you still get a feel for what the developers want.

RE: Any Roleplaying Communities Planned?
I am thinking about making the guild a role playing guild to some extent. I haven't fully mapped out my plans yet (looking forward to alpha and beta builds to get a good feel of the game and then take from that if I want to make the guild a RP. I hope there is enough group and community driven content to make it nearly mandatory to at least be in a functional society.

RE: Whats your favorite character Class to play on your first Character
Paladin.... I will find a way. Then I will make a Shadow Knight. This way I can play what fits me that day.

RE: Star Citizen
I said that if Star Citizen could do half of the things it said it could, and do it just as good as they said they could, the game would be 10X any game on the market. Could they have done it differently? Yeah, they should have shot for a bare bones frame of a game before even thinking of letting players have a go at it. The modules only confused some, confounded others and in the end it was just a waste of time and resources.
I still think they are on track to make a huge game, I fear that its still over 2 years out. S42 might get a push out the door next year, and if they can get it polished that will be enough to shut up most of the drones. The hard core haters on the other hand, well nothing can save them, they have fully banked on its demise and will always find a bug to complain about or a missing feature that was the only reason for playing. Glad thats not me, I get to enjoy Star Citizen, and Elite, and No Mans Sky... so good to be a gamer.
