Well, there's other continents and other worlds. There must be a way to get there. Unless its just some portal or fast travel option at the harbor.

RE: Eternal
Just upgraded to Eternal this morning after the play test. Is there anything in there worth seeing ATM?

RE: Controller support?
i would like to see this as well since i haven't used an archaic KB/Mouse for gaming in ages. Even D2 on PC allows controller support. Even after 11 hours of playing I was still looking down constantly to make sure I was on the right key. More often than not, I wasn't which resulted in either i miscast or outright wrong ability,
Still, given enough time its not insurmountable.

RE: How to get small stones?
They are, quite literally, everywhere. Now granted, a particular area might have been picked clean for a time, but once you know what they look like they're all over the place

RE: Improvements to the tutorial
That's probably fine as we'll have guilds to fall back on for help/info. A smidge disappointing that there won't be much structure per se as its somewhat limiting. But not a deal breaker.
I saw a lot of the same questions being asked repeatedly. I saw the same people answering the same questions repeatedly. I saw the same people bemoan the fact that they WERE answering the same questions repeatedly.
An expanded tutorial, or even a set of tutorials would help alleviate that. Granted, so would an actually help wiki or FAQs. But really, whose gonna take time to read those when they can be playing instead?

RE: Would tents be a viable inclusion?
i would like to see a whole campsite system. Scalable/upgradable of course. Starts with a campfire of course which would only allow energy to be filled. Next upgrade would be a tent that would allow health to be fixed after death instead of having to run all the way back to a city.
Obviously in addition to the wood and stone it would require animal hides.
further could be upgraded to something like a portable crafting station to cure hides etc. although that might be a bit much

RE: Thoughts on the alpha test
I played for about 11 hours according to the game clock.
I didn't have any slowdown or chop until the final big event. It was so bad that most of the time i couldn't even see who the bad guy was we were fighting. Even when I could see them targeting was a nightmare. Aside from that my ping stayed steady around 140-150 and my FPS was more less constant at 60.
I didn't progress very far in part because I played through the tutorial for all 4 characters. Definitely a fan of the Ranged, not so much the melee. Both melee, at least in the early game play more or less identical. IDK when the street rat gains rogue like abilities like stealth, backstab etc, but they should happen fairly early to set them apart.

RE: Improvements to the tutorial
agreed. In addition:
Better explanation of the Presets section. There wasn't really much info at all presented beyond "memorize X abilities" Nowhere did it mention going to the abilities tab. Maybe that seems obvious, but it certainly wasn't to me.
I don't know if we'll have a typical quest system or if it will just be the tutorial and then off we go on our own. I would like to see most of this as a quest chain beyond the tutorial. I think for the most part the tutorial gives us the basics to get started, but not much beyond that.
For the Housing, it could be a chain that starts with "accumulate X gold", then points us to a plot, or region of plots. Although, come to think of it, that could put us somewhere we don't want to be in relation to guild and whatnot.
Horses though would be easy. Starts with "craft 5 ropes" then "craft Animal nets" and finally give us the little green marker of the general vicinity of where horses might be.
There's lots more of course, from building the home, to building the craft stations, to decorations etc.
Overall, I was impressed enough that i purchased first the champion pack, and then this morning the Eternal pack. Eagerly awaiting next test. Hopefully Beta 1?

RE: Need help turorial presets
Awesome thank you.
So i start on the abilities page? Not the preset wheel? Come to think of it, i don't think i tried something as silly as a double click. I tried a right click, and a single left click. Don't think i tried a double click.

Need help turorial presets
So i started as an arcanist. Im at the tutorial part where i need to save a preset with all the spells. I'm in the preset wheel, but i cant seem to find the spells i need. I looked at all of them, or close enough. Can someone please help with better instruction than what the tutorial is providing?
Suggestion: Allow right click of abilities to be added to presets. or even better, add to quick bar. Not really seeing the point of presets at the moment.

RE: STAND FIRM!
Just watched the Q&A on youtube, DS stressed many times that gamingo only has distribution rights and that's it. No impact on actual gameplay (beyond funding and extra resources) Personally, I have no experience with Gamingo that I'm aware of but nothing in that Q&A gives me any cause for concern. If anything, Jacobo comes across as genuine and sincere.
Need to playtest in the Alpha at least once, but after that I might go from Master to Eternal.

RE: Meridian - PvX/Syndesia - International - Diplomacy/Politics/Trade/Warfare
Greetings,
When next Alpha hits I think I'll buy the one month pack to try it out. If I like it I'll probably jump to Champion, maybe even Eternal on release. This sounds like my kind of home. I've been a gamer since playing Ultima on my Apple 2c in the 80s, but only recently with ESO gotten in to the MMO field. I like the look of it, and the gameplay does look intriguing.
I'm in the US, west coast and can more or less promise an hour or so before work, and an hour or two after work. I tend to play new games hard for a couple months before tapering back.
