New Shaders For Fractured
-
I think Fractured needs some new shaders or something. Everything still looks flat and blends in. Its all neutral grays kinda like the how the concept art is. Not a whole lot of contrast and I think the characters and items get lost in all the grays, browns, and greens. Nothing really pops. Idk. What are your opinions on this?

Yeah I hope there will be another graphical upgrade.

I noticed the same thing right away. Your edit looks quite good. I hope they move in that direction. I was thinking boy I may need to use Reshade or something to make this look decent.

Your edited screenshot looks great! I agree.

Hi @MrTimo, your edited screenshot looks good indeed (although over-saturated), but I assume you're not playing yet, right? Because we've made changes to lighting and post-processing too, so colors are already more vivid than they used to be at the time the screenshot you posted was taken!

Hi @Prometheus. I've seen a bit of gameplay. But I have some confusion on the shader update you have done. It looks like all that was done was an added warm tone filter. Although, on your page there is a pic of some guy in ruins that is very saturated, akin to my edit. Is that what the game is now or was that pic edited?
In any case I think the most important thing is to make sure that there is contrast to things. In my opinion the pic with the ruins is the best looking one by far. (See pic below)

I agree, those videos showcasing abilities look great, so I was a bit surprised by how different things looked in-game.
I was assuming that is was simply a case of this being a less polished build than what they had "jazzed up" for the demo's, but based on Prometheus' comment, now I am not so sure.
@Prometheus Is the end result intended to be the crisper, more "saturated" look (which I personally prefer) we see in the ability demo vids, or what we are currently seeing in game now?
Thanks!

Im loving the improvement in graphics. Its looking better every day.

@MrTimo That looks really good. What happened? @Prometheus Did you guys decide to approach the art differently or is there some other reason? How different will the game look like by beta or full release?
