Early Player Protection

If a player has just joined the game, I’m thinking possibly post-full release or late in Beta stages, and they might not know the way of the game mechanics etc, say they chose human. Would there be anything stopping other Humans / Demons from immediately attacking them and possibly scaring them from the game?

there are starting areas where pvp isn't possible.
