There is another Tony The Tiger running around my city. I have had this since early alpha and this is simply not acceptable. How can this even happen?

unique name reservation is a perk that came with some packs and was only just implemented this test, but you have to reserve your name if you have the perk on the website.
I know at least 1 other Tony the Tiger from as far back as Alpha so it may be taken too

What he said. Names are not exclusive unless you buy the pack with the perk of Name Reservation. If "Bob" is not reserved anyone can use it for any number of characters. If you've reserved, "Bob" then you can name any number of characters Bob. (I'm unsure what would happen if you reserved a name after someone else already has a character named, but not reserved, that name.

well, i have the eternal soo...i didnt actually reserve though which would be stupid when i had it before we even launched
