MOBAs have made me feel uncomfortable, will the MOBA element in this game help ease that?
-
I have a distrust of MOBA and forced team play type games. Mostly centered around the fact that I suck at them. I have played games that include PVP in them but just those that have it localized to a small part of the game. So I am ok with that and not looking for a carebear game. There is a challenge to developers to build a game that doesn’t turn into into it Getting owned by griefers and people who can outbuy me in a cash shop. So far what I see is reassuring.
Any advice for a MOBAphobe?

There is not a lot of common points between Fractured and a MOBA like LoL or HotS, instead of the camera view and some mechanics of the game, but not the way to play (sorry if my english is bad x) ). It will be like a MMO, but with some little difference. If you don't want PvP, you can play as a beastman, Arboreus is mostly PvE. Don't know if I answered a little to your question ^^'

Stay tuned we don't have enough information about Fractured let's wait an alpha before say something. I also hate the gank fest or scammers

I'm willing to guess the MOBA part is more toward the limited skill slots. Fractured could have 6 skills slots and a few passives. That allows you to build your character and change it when you're near a campfire.
I see Fractured more like a fixed camera version of WoW. It'll have 3 planets. 1 planet is 99% pve, 1 planet pvx and 1 planet pvp. It's possible for the pvp planet, which is full of Demons, to invade the other 2 planets during certain times. The PvE planet, which is full of Beastkin, has sanctuary areas where no evil human or Demon can enter, however, pvp can still happen elsewhere. The PvX planet, which has Humans, has a little of both with a Justice system to promote a lawful life.
Think of these planets as different server types in other games. Beastkin is similar your PvE planet with flagged PvP, Human planet is similar to a PvP-RP server and the Demon planet is full out PvP.
I don't see Fractured being similar to a MOBA at all game play wise. If you want a simi-similar game play style you can try out Spiral Knights or Devilian.

@finland My bad ^^

Thanks, guys. Looking at the aspect of Races and the corresponding planets. It makes sense in the flavor of the game for lawful to chaotic. Will check out Spiral Knights and Devilian. I think I have SK on my steam at some point.

sk is free. and i'm not sure where devilian is at. it was good at the beginning but something didn't work well with me so i dropped it.
Wolcen is in early access and isn't bad but has limited content, a few hours of story and grinding if you want to reach level 20.
