Funding Reward Tier suggestion
-
It might be nice if the funding reward tiers also came with single test alpha/beta keys so you could invite friends and family into test phases with you. They would be single test only!
Perhaps like
Master : 3 total consumable
Legend: 10 total consumable
Champion: 25 total consumable
Eternal: unlimited - no longer valid in full release
-
But people can just gift keys to others. I feel like this is a good idea but it does open the door to the game being flooded when alpha is not meant to be a big release. This might over stress the game and devs. Then you have to decide pricing which then defeats gifting. I strongly disagree to the unlimited one because then only 1 person has to buy it and then just open the game to anyone and everyone defeating the point of keys and your tier system entirely. This is a nice thought but ruins the entire point of alpha and supporting the game.
-
The idea sound nice, but I think it should be limited to beta keys, so as not to overtax the alpha server. Also, none of the tiers should have so many keys, especially over single digit amounts.
It's a good idea, but just needs to be scaled down some.

@Umbaalo Maybe to 1, 2, and 3. I do agree for beta only.
-
@TrueCrimsonFTW you are missing parts of what I said. These would be for single tests ONLY not permanent access to the game. It would just be an opportunity to expose others to what it offers, they would still have to b2p. And the keys wouldn’t even apply for future tests, only the one they were gifted to have your friend play in with you.
-
But yea I see both your points, #s are too high, I see what you are getting at.. unfortunately people/guilds would abuse this privilege. I agree, I overlooked that!
-
If a person wants to participate in an alpha test, it has been pretty easy for them to do so, not only does DS open up the alpha test to the public near the end, but there are tons... and I literally mean "tons" of free keys that are given out to people in order for them to play before and during the test.
-
@Scozzi I didn't miss it, that defeats the point of alpha.
-
Okay, no worries, just thought it was a good opportunity for exposure, but honestly maybe early exposure isn’t necessarily a good thing
-
I do think they should release a demo! Maybe a timed demo or just do what Hello Neighbor did where you get such a limited parts of the game to explore. That would be cool though.
-
Maybe it will get some kind of limited access (like 2 weeks or some parts) for free to test the game.
Later - when the game is released.
I am not sure if I would invite friends to an Alpha or Beta. I want to show them a great game, not something that has bugs and isn't finished yet to keep them playing.
-
SAME! I have some friends who are saving to join and I might be chipping in for them. They really want to play.
-
The game will be "pay" once for the game and then don't pay again. Because of this, they will not be able to have a "free" week after release, because then the people will have the actual game which is the only thing DS will charge for. I doubt they will even have any free final days of Beta due to this sole reason as well.

@Ostaff You are most likely correct.
