Any point to crafting primitives above 2/4?

I thought maybe I could be wasting time by trying to complete to 4/4.

Unless you plan to run t1s while red, there is no need to go past 2/4 any more.

i plan on getting mine to 4 eventually cause why not? If im out in the field and armor breaks, not so easy to replace. But if say Hide is maxed, i can at least make something.
It something mindless one can do whilst on the pot for example.
