Lore is IMPORTANT
-
Just gotta say I already love the lore. It's amazing n I love how it's one of the very first things you guys released. Your doing awesome so far !!. Btw the whole not having classes thing is freaking amazing. I've never played a mmo with no classes, so I really am excited to see how it plays out. Every mmo ive played was the same game just different story or classes for each. So I really can't wait !

@mikey14117
If you are interested, albion online its a nice game to test if you like this no class type. I dont like how much time yoy have to grind for itens, but its a nice concept that remembers fractured
Have a nice week!

There have been a few MMOs without classes, such as Albion online that @Knulp mentioned, but they haven't saturated the market yet and are still a very welcome addition that deserves to be expanded upon. That's definitely one of the draws, for sure!

I love lore. It is so very important for immersion. Sometimes I read the stories of games I don't play at all. Judging by the stories in the spotlight about the races, the devs certainly haven't forgotten about this. I can't wait to see what else they have in store.
-
Yeah I'm a huge fan of lores. I love reading in general. I'm the type of person who will take their time reading all the dialog in game, while others will skip over it and take the quest.
-
@garlic same here. I don't understand how people can do quest or missions without even knowing why they are doing it. Like that is really dumb but you are right
-
Some people just want to rush to endgame. Not everyone cares about lore as much as we do.
-
Yeah. Also depends on the game I guess. I really enjoy the quests that have humor in them. I've always wanted to obtain a quest from a monster asking us to attack a certain amount of humans. You don't go around seeing individual monsters attacking humans because they were quested to do so!
-
Most mmo's follow the same hero or guardian story and lore
So i hope you are Not an ascendant of gods or something and get just thrown into the game
-
Oh yeah I would love to be a simple peasant rather than being the center of attention. It's one of the things I used to love about WoW's starting experience. Your character didn't start as a champion of justice sent down by the gods themselves, but as a simple citizen with a spade for a weapon.

@vengu I agree
-
@vengu as a wow head I definitely agree bud
-
@vengu Its hard to find that these days. Glad others enjoy starting out like that!
-
Agree 1000% Lore is most important
-
@cookiesneedlove yup, there are ALOT of lore lovers here
-
Yeah, but either I missed the point or you guys did. Lore is not just 'important to the game because it settles atmosphere', blah-blah-blah - all cute stories, disregard in-game because it's all levels, items and grind (in fact - numbers).
What I understood (is there dev around to confirm or deny?) that lore is bread and butter of this game. We do not level by usual means, we explore and learn - and that's the way character progress. Which I find very attractive because I always loved exploring and learning, but never liked grind.

Would love to see some official lore additions from player experiences at a later time. Like places you'll get to travel to or quests in memory of certain players (and/or battles for example).

Like EVE, where players pretty much write the story?

Ye similar to EVE would be fine. I think it's difficult to create the same possibilities as EVE (or Ultima Online for old times sake), but it would be a nice addition not many games can deliver so far. Something like "GM-Events" were nice too back in the days (if they were handled correctly according to lore and actual ingame events).

@vengu WOULD LOVE TO WRITE MY OWN STORY LIKE EVE
