@prometheus Funding sometimes is not logic i have seen shitty projects getting funded and i partecipated on a project that spent 100k euro just on the material for presentation, 7 videos including a 5 min teaser fully 3d rendered with models, and artists for artwork, and 20k spent in advertizing yet it failed.

But they key issue here is the understanding of what people want, sandbox pvp competitive games attract competitive players and they look only for advantage from early access, so alpha access, gold, premium account. So a bid for a relative cheap amount like 30$ get this people on board, granting access cost you nothing but is one of most appealing factor.

Is 2 year i am not taking part of any kick project (i usually write gameplay document design for games, and when they do kickstarter is not my business anymore ) so i dont know if you can modify the pledge on course, or add stuff? becouse if you can i hardly suggest to revise the alpha access and put it in lower bids.

I tryed to comunicate with you thrue your official mail, skype, discord, since a month but none of you ever answered i just wanted to give you some tips and help based on my experience, with kickstarter campaigns things like the one i presented here., many of this errors could have been avoived, i see you reply to many people in this section beside the ones that really have the knowledge to help you and coincidence they all called for getting alpha on low bids. you should really work on your comunication skills, there is someone checking your official mails? never got an answer there since a month, again i sent you another proposal in discord about using a 40k mailing list free of charge you didnt even bother to answer. People try to help but you seams to not pick up suggestions.

tbh as i stated in discord and in private msg with you prometheus, the problem of your kick campaign is that alpha access is way too costly and beta cost is fine but is a thing that you get too late this create a very huge gap. it push away who wanna spend not much since they gonna get it a year from now, and the alpha is way to costly for a new indie sh.

All people want expecial competitive pvpers is access as early as possible, premium, gold,
things like titles forum titles skins etc are considered irrilevant, cosmetics not useful to gain an advantage (a skin not give you + dmg)

People in current meta of mmo of last 15 years look for the "edge" of starting before others, albion for example granted access to game since 30$ package, and allowed you to upgrade from their site, the biggest selling point was that the 100$ pack allowed you to started 3 days before official release date, the 2nd pack 2 day etc etc.

All people look is getting an edge, and quick as possible. If you had a marketing manager he would research it, this is what albion did, they "exploited" the willingness of people to get an edge to their own advantage with that kind of package systems (pre relase days access advantage but access to all alpha-beta since first smaller package)

Imho pledge for alpha etc are too high, many more would have bid if 50$ or 35% allowed you since alpha, people tend to look more for having early access then extra bonus, gold or items. And when they figure out that for get in alpha 1 they need what 100? 200 euro? they not gonna do it, problem is if you get low $ package you get only beta access+ wich are faar from now so this combination imho keep many away

@specter Maybe for you proof nothing but i think the people will see it and make their own minds about, not a flame just some extra info, and btw i gave to you in private before reply here. I am gonna end this story here since all informations are out and people can decide for themself.

@Prometheus tbh before make the thread i tryed to contact 2 devs and i sent all info to Specter. So today we got even more info Finland guild have 8 members in discord and 100 between 3 fake guilds in the guild list.

Look the difference in numbers yet his guilds outperform us in both points/members and ladder position by 50% , something strange happening here considering my guild outnumber him for active member online (and i took screen at 3 am my time) to like 6:1 and 16:1 in total members. in discord.

After analysis we figure out that over 70% of Finland guilds are fakes, Specter itself confirmed that this many alts all come from 1 ip. Whoever did it, finland or another of the 8 members not was really smart since all characters are based on dota characters and majority of them have litterally attached to their background, the background history of thise characters of dota taken from the dota wiki.

So nobody will give a damn if some guild have some alts, but when a guild of 100 people is composed by 92% fake accounts i think is a problem

imho they released it to early, the game still unknown to majority i discovered it myself only 3 months ago and thx to youtube videos, they should have waited more and keep building hype and knowldge of the game with interviews etc then relase kick.

also the kick video itself is not properly stellar it show almost nothing, 2 char goind around not even with in game sound and no visible gameplay/interface, the rest of what they talk about not was particular innovative etc, like the bla bla about how when you kill an animal it not drop an axe, i can find the same exact words in an albion video of 3 years ago.

Also i follow kickstarter since 2012 and been part of some succesful and unsuccesful campaigns, if your own community not bid 60% of the project in the first week, you not gonna get the rest from the others. and in general the projects i was part did 6-9 months of pre kick campaign with interviews in ten ton hammer, kotaku and many youtube videos and eve devblog streams before launch.

so what we can do at this point? ask devs to even send us the community to make this campaign being noticed in the forums of the biggest mmo sites, and themself do as many interviews with as many game portals as they can. As well release youtube videos, or make live stream with q&a anything that bring hype,

Another is ask KS for spotlight (they can ask )

they should have considered also indiegogo and a steam ea sell tbh

also i cant care less about how many members he have i care that 70% ARE FAKE ACCOUNTS. there is a reason Finland got banned even from discord, he is not properly pleasant to deal with. So "someone" linked to me this fact so a lesson for Finland if you wanna "cheat" in the future at list dont be loud about yourself, yourguild etc becouse people gonna find something to use against you

and even his guildmates agree that is fake and fishy

@gibbx To clean? is not a good thing that Finland try to cheat even before game start, i think devs will be interested in this kind of behavior, how they gonna act it also gonna send a message about how they gonna handle this kind of situations

in italy we say prevenire è meglio che curarem -via il dente via il dolore (prevention is better then healing - That it's better to just rip the Band-Aid off.)

are you menacing of violating my computer? interesting, i will ask devs and mods to check your 70 dota chars before game starts what you think ? i think many other will agree as well.

@finland Seams that you do mister 100 man guild with 70 members named after dota chars with background copy pasted from dota wiki. and dont bother to cancel them/edit, I made a video of me opening them just in case :=)
