Improbable was the absolute douchebag (mind I remind you that after blowing this to extreme proportions they announced a joint fund with Unity's competitor to incite developers to change engines), and now Unity has to back down to basically bullies! Yeah! How nice!

Ask for you money back. Especially if you are an EU citizen you have good chances at receiving your money back. Don't involve them (the studio). Ask at your bank and tell them that you bought A (an MMO) and you are having B (a BR game).
