Yeah, it's unfortunate. I just got used to it over the years and learned how to approach specific chests in my house to avoid that.
It'd be fantastic if/once it's fixed though!

I haven't seen any issues with textures at higher resolution, I played at 5120 x 1440 with a 2080 Super and they looked just fine.
Currently play with a 4090 and only notice an FPS jump, not texture quality.My son played at 1920 x 1080 with an onboard graphics on Ultra Settings and managed 30+ FPS.
If you have to drop down to 1366 x 768, low settings, and no shadows, that sounds like your graphics card is a potato. -

Charcoal is the "lazy" route, which is why it's time gated. You can gather regular coal and you'll already have it. Granted, you'll still need to wait for the metal to cook, but that's not too long if you go with lower quantities and not do the 30 for 2.5 hours. Regarding plot size, is it in the city or outside? Cities can assign different plot sizes from 2x2 to 5x5, "wild" plot sizes are 4x4. Have you checked if Charcoal is on the market? If so, you can travel to the city, buy it, and wagon it back to your plot. You may even be able to buy the ingots you want as well and skip that whole process altogether.

Unless they changed it (I haven't played the last two alpha's), Magic Missile is a channeling spell. You can interrupt casting it yourself if you move before all the volleys are sent. I agree with OP that it's a bug...unless the "channel" effect is the bug...

There's usually been queue/login issues on alpha launches for Fractured (and other games) that's happened in pretty much every alpha so far. One of the alpha's I wasn't able to log into it for about three days, and then the issue was fixed. While it's exciting, it's not going to make or break this alpha release for you, or it shouldn't anyway. This alpha is going to last a month, in my experience a lot of people stop playing it after about 1-2 weeks when they hit knowledge cap/exploration/gear/etc.

This is a good QoL suggestion that doesn't break immersion at all. It's not "automating" things, it's accessing another location in the building to get to the storage. Instead of being tabs, it'll work like two individual stations/containers.

Yeah, a solitary hero can gather resources, not all resources though.
A solitary hero can craft basic items to survive, not the advanced items though.
A solitary hero can trade every resource they have, to attain resources and items they cannot gather or craft.Nothing in their description is wrong. People just don't want to accept the "trade" part when considering solo play.
I was going to buy the game, but after reading some comments here, i decided not to, "Solitary Hero" its not really viable it seems.
If you absolutely don't want to interact with other people at ANY level, then this game isn't for you.
That's like buying an FPS and saying you don't want to play games with guns... -

Solo players are consumersConsumers don't buy directly from wholesale, they buy from retail. They can't go to wholesale stores that provide to WalMart and buy their product for cheaper than WalMart sells it for. They go to WalMart.
The items ARE available for you, the wholesale and raw material isn't.
So yes, you can buy your pie. You can't buy your wheat, apples, and sugar though. -

Update: After the server restart I was able to get another iron deposit from the cluster; 1/3 remains inaccessible due to the "This resource belongs to a city node" error.

Yeah, Stone is pretty buggy with this. It's hit or miss when I try loading Stone in, it only sees like...4/30 of it.
It doesn't only see the last 4 slots of the wagon either because the behavior is the same with a partially full wagon, it sees a small portion. -
"Strike" attacks can't be queued up since 11/6 patch
Yesterday I was able to cycle between strikes when they were on cooldown; today I can only cycle to them if their cooldown is up. So they can't really be efficiently queued since you have to switch to it AFTER it's already up.
