$190,000,000 in funding raised and counting and they can't put the game out.

Other games come out with 15% of that funding and they do it in 3 years.

Truthfully this company has already alienated so many of its "customers" I think its going to be hot on release for 3 months and then be a flop by month 12.

Which will then be interesting to find out if all that money actually went into the game or if its in some account somewhere earning interest so when the game does flop people just walk off with it.

I think a lot of this concern has to be tabled until we actually see how the skill system works overall.

I wouldn't think that we need new races or planets for a long way off.

Truthfully, given where Fractured is in development, releasing information around the time of Gamescom will just cause that release to get lost in the shuffle.

Either release it just before Gamescom (and hope its memorable enough) or release it in the lull that will occur a week later.

I mean the timeline for Fractured is LONG so no need to rush.

Ok, there might be less junk games. Does anyone actually notice those. I buy the games I want. I don't use steam to get to know new games.

Maybe some devs will only sell their game through the discord store and not through steam. There a lot of tripple A companies that have their own store. That works for them, because they have popular franchises. Smaller companies will sell less games if they avoid steam.

Discord isn't the first to try to compete with valve. CD Project Red tried it with GOG. I like the way CD Project Red does business and GOG isn't bad. But, it's not a popular platform. Only people who detest valve or DRM prefer it. It's just easier to keep using Steam.

Discord could actually lower the price by taking a lower percentage cut and then pass that on to their consumers.

$53.99 on Humble Bundle

Discord could also offer it for $53.99 directly which might inspire someone to buy it on Discord vs Steam.

Now, Square is going to get their $42 either way. Discord might be willing to take a $11.99 cut vs a $17.99 cut.

If they are doing a D3 for the Switch, I highly doubt they are doing D4. Now, I know we all want D4, but I think its more going to be a World of Diablo MMO.

I come to that conclusion because they hinted at the Switch thing and we know they have a new MMO in development. Just sorta makes sense.

They are back now, so I'm sure the store will be one of the first things that go up, since the store means income, and income means continued development.

My military friend, I'm not sure what he did as far as far as suing. Lost track of him after he went back home and there was still mission to do. I'm sure he got taken care of by the military, but you know what, I should go hunt him down.
