As a future demon player, I'm totally sold on the idea! It's like summoning Dremora Lord, in ES, only Dremora Lord is a PC! I'm eager to write a book on my adventures as a summoned monster! ^_^
Take as much time, as you need, to get it done right.
What's wrong with having a summoning ritual, if you're worshiping an evil god?
I'd love, for player-demons, to have the ability to be summoned into the world of men, for exchange of something.

Is spell damage not affected by stats? I was assuming damage for all forms of combat was affected by its primary stat. Is this wrong? If it is correct then gear raising stats does make your spells better. Now according to this article
https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-4-skills-galore/
Spell damage is directly affected by your intelligence score. If you raise your score you raise your damage output. So with gear that raises your intelligence you have raised your damage. You spells get better. So by simple logic better gear means better fighting skills. So players will not be the same strength as time goes by and gear is collected. I don't know any game I've played where collecting gear wasn't part of character improvement.
If the devs removed loot drops and the need to improve your gear why even hunt at all? There is no excitement for loot drops other than mats and if mats didn't turn into anything other than cosmetic improvements then most of the players are not even going to bother with hunting.
The article says,"power of spells," not,"damage of spells." May seem like an inconsequential difference, but difference nevertheless. Especially, if you've experienced the difference in context during alpha. So far, difference in stats doesn't affects your damage, but rather spell's DC roll VS target's saves... It's very much D&D-like in that regard. The higher stats you have, the higher your ability to penetrate target's defense is.
For example, regular mobs would be affected by spells, but higher ranked mobs would be able to resist spell attacks, in which case, they'd receive no damage, at all.

Personally, I'd love to be able to wear heavy armor, with two-handed axe, while casting spells. That'll make everyone believe my demon being dumb muscle, only for him to disintegrate the opponents with spells
Watched an Anime where a mages physical body determined their magic power and quantity. So the strongest and long lasting mages were the strong bros/sis. The entrance exam was getting the new hopefuls fit, and to see which would drop out because "magic doesn't need strong bodies".
I always thought of needing a conduit for casting to be quite lame. to me the focus was more the hands or just the imagination.
Haha! If that were the face for Fractured, then my mammoth mount would be OP!

I'm rewatching Ozark in prep for the third season and I kinda think it's better than Breaking Bad. What are you guys watching?
another show watching is the boys from amazon and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? odd name for anime
I was excited, at first, when I saw The Boys teaser... But then the trailer came out, and I was instantly put off by all the small changes they did to it, but mainly-Butcher. I don't know the name of the character, but he's not Butcher from the original comics. He just has no menacing aura, Butcher had back in the comic book.

Re: Mounts?
I'm thrilled to have achieved Foundation level 35, which gives me a way cool feral wolf mount
The tricky part is that I'd planned for my first/main PC to be a Wolfling so riding a wolf around will require some explaining. Wonder whether there's a chance I could trade that mount for a more credible one, in-game.Any chance 'mount swaps' will be a thing? Or should I plan to save my wolf mount for the human PC when/if I get around to that?
Well, worst case scenario, I'm sure you'll be able to either purchase or tame a different species local biom mount... Or just exchange the wolf mount on a different one, with other players.
@Xzait said in Unique mounts:
@deusex2 that is something i can actually see the devs implementing. especially if one of the planets has an ice biome :3
I don't care which book it's gonna be! All I want is for my future demon character, to ride that sucker through some human city!
Think of it, as "Mongo riding into a town, on a bull," scene

Greetings to all my fellow wolves out there, looking forward to seeing you out in Tartaros. Best of Luck
Hi, and you better pray to see me coming
Not enough content available, yet, to judge the game.
@RNGinxed
One thing is certain-you're gonna grind a looooot towards such goal.
Honestly, given the state of the game, Dev forums should be the last thing on everyone's mind, right now.
I'd much rather devs keep slaving away towards playable state

All of the newer monsters don't have loot tables yet and there's no knowledge system so the only point currently is for resources - hides, meats, fat, etc.
On the PvE side, I really hope they do end up implementing regional/world bosses - always loved those kinds of open world encounters.
Ye, i myself found it super disappointing to burn 300 arrows and 50+ healing potions on a group of giant spider that ganked you, only to gain nothing from it, after being unable to flee from them due to the trap spells, and the remedies not removing poison like they say they do, burning tonnes of hp
Well that's alpha for you.
But yeah, I can certainly understand the frustration of spending tons of resources on combat, only to be left with nothing(played a co-op mission in WH40K:Martyr, only to have all the in-mission loot disappear on me, due to known co-op bug, in a fully released game)
But once again, this is alpha and we still have no clue just how mob slaying is going to be handled, once knowledge system is implemented. It could be that we'll be forced to fight spiders, in order to observe them using their webs, in order to unlock Web spell, or poisoning ability.
Basically, it's wait and see situation.
I'd rather see how knowledge is earned and at what rate, once it's implemented, before adding knowledge points for killing mobs.
