RE: Do you have any Fractured-related discussion topic that you want to discuss but don't have the energy to write the thread, and you feel kinda bad about it?
I like the direction this thread is taking. Admit to a problem but then don't take steps to amend it.
I will admit to part of the thread title, but I do not feel bad about it.

RE: what do you like to see next from the developers?
Right now, I really just want to be able to fill out the kickstarter survey so that I can go into hibernation and forget about Fractured until Alpha. I don't have the fortitude to stay active throughout such long pre-release development cycles.

My understanding is that Alpha 1 will only include Syndesia.

And you get the “omg the Devs haven’t make a single KS update since the campaign ended. They must have stole out money and ran... i knew they were going to do that.”It is possible for the devs to focus on development and provide updates to the community occasionally without actively promoting it to new players for more paying backers.

RE: Going Worldwide - Regional Servers & Localization
@chrightt said in Going Worldwide - Regional Servers & Localization:
I really have to point out not everything must go according to "community feedback" because honestly, I've probably seen more crap ideas from community feedback than good ones. If games get swayed by the community too much, it gives the community a sense that anything they want will happen and they themselves often fail to realize the "negatives" in their own decision. Please don't fall into the pit hole that is the devs coming up with new and good ideas to surprise the community rather than the community itself dictating how a game should be made (Both sides of the spectrum are too extreme! -not listening to community at all or altering the game solely based on community feedback).
That can be a good point, but I think in this case they did do their due diligence before deciding. The announcement says that they performed their own tests and talked with Improbable as well as publishers.
Besides, giving the caveat that servers will emerge as needed without giving metrics upon how that will be decided gives them a lot of leeway in how the server issue is handled.

but why wouldn't you want new cash coming in? the 100k from KS isn't enough for them. at 2 years till launch that's only 50k per year; minus KS fee's and taxes (if any for IT business. in america you're taxed on those backer rewards too).I'm sorry but you need new clients, those also tell their friends, and maintain development progress and updates to KS/CF (crowdfund) backers. You need all three.
Because:
Dynamight Studios is a financially stable company. Careful business planning, coupled with backing from the three founders and private investors, make us feel safe about the future of the project. Moreover, we already have open channels with a few large game publishers that have shown interest in Fractured.
If they were dependent upon crowdfunding to stay afloat, there is no way I would have supported the project with such a low goal.

RE: Feature Spotlight #7 - Towns, Governors & Politics
Democracy & Elections usually don't exist in MMOs for a reason.
Hopefully it works out for the best here.

RE: What music do people listen to when gaming
I listen to the music of whichever game I am currently playing. Games make or curate music their music for reasons (I imagine) and I don't want to ruin that experience by playing other stuff.

@gothix said in Future Spotlights Content - Vote Your Favorite Topics!:
Why are people voting on alpha 1 map? Alpha 1 is soon, you gonna see it anyway. Better vote for something that is planed more far away so we can get a glimpse of it sooner.
But that's why I want to see it. It is sooner, thus something that is less likely to change significantly and easier to get hyped about.

Don't think early birds should be offered or maybe at less of a discount
Some people can't back a kickstarter campaign, because they don't have a credit card. So the early birds should still be available for those people. Maybe for a month or so.

@fibs said in Kickstarter Is Over! What's Next?:
Well I mean, if they offered 1000 of an Early Bird, and only 200 got bought, I don't see why the remaining 800 should drop to ZERO. That just seems odd to me.
The why would be because 'Early Bird' specials are not just supply limited, they are also time limited. To the devs, Kickstarter might have been the period they consider 'early' and thus anything afterwards is not early enough to qualify.
I, however, could agree with a sentiment of giving those who could not kickstart because of credit card stuff a short period of early birds as well.
Anyways, congrats on the succesful campaign.

My introduction
Hello.
This is my semi-formal declaration that I will attempt to cease lurking and become an active member of this community.
Unfortunately, I am historically bad at being a vocal member of forum communities, thus there is a high likelihood of failure and the recommencement of lurking.

I like Cream Soda.
or those flavored sparkling waters like La Croix if I don't want something sweet. -

Is there a new timeline? Pledge integration seems to be significantly delayed.

RE: Anime
I am like @Blah64 , i want the next episode of Overlord, But contrary to Blah64 I have never read the light novels. Did the light novels is great @Blah64 ?
I think the light novels are great. Obviously has more detail, more arcs and more scenes with more context for things than the anime as LNs tend to do, however I still think the anime adaptation is pretty good as far as adaptations go.

@blah64 Thats normal, that the titel will come later, i don‘t miss any badges, just the stretched goals, but Jacopo still said, he is working to get them implemented too.
I think that is needed for them to get a kind of counter.
Step by Step. That reasoning doesn't make sense, after all, the last news release said that Forum Titles & Badges should be implemented before Alpha 1, thus they will come before 'Access to Alpha - Phase 1', which is listed on the card without having to click for more detail.
