What about "events" ?

Hey all !
I was thinking, as Christmas is coming, and all the games I play are preparing events for this occasion, will there be this kind of event ? And, if yes, do you know how you will do it ? I mean, will we just have special quests, some new cosmetics, etc... Like in 90% of games, or it will be something else ?
For me, there is two options if you really want to distance yourself from others games.
One : you do something for Christmas, Halloween,... but a special thing. For exemple, for Halloween, I thought to a haunted circus, where we can do some activities,...
Two : You skip Christamas and others, and you do events sticked to the lore. For exemple, one day in the year, it is the day of Babilis (just remember this god name ^^), and there is something special for it. But it could be harder because of the three races, who does not have the same gods, etc
Don't know if what I explained is really clear

They could just connect both options
Halloween = demon based event
Xmas = human based
Easters = beastmen based

@esher this is a different world so option #2 may fit. about christmas or halloween, there would be sales for microtransactions perhaps

There will be a cash shop selling cosmetics, because the game has no sub and they need to make money somehow.

It might be a different world but all players will live in ours. Holidays are when ppl usually have most time to play so it's a good time for events.
