How does knowledge work exactly?

Is it like knowledge in BDO where you do things to unlock info which goes into a pool to be used?
Its it like mastery in GW2 where you fill a bar which then when full can be used to unlock specific skills?
Is it like alternate advancement in Rift where you gain "levels" that specifically are put into any stat you want?
Is it like WoW where you have an item that gains power and unlocks skills as you go up?
Is it something else?

@jazunia
Here everything is clearly described https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-3-knowledge-system/
-
exactly, we don't know other than what the Spotlight mentions.

Ok so after reading the little feature (thanks @muker), it looks like it will be similar to BDO where you do specific things and it goes into a pool that you then spend.

@jazunia There is nothing like this. WoW is a game with a char level system like GW2, Rift and BDO. Here you don0t have a char level system and either a gear level system like Albion Online. The purpose of the knowledge system is that while doing tasks like Exploring/killing mobs/gathering/crafting and more, you will discover new abilities. Once unlocked you can study it to be able to use it.
More abilities = more builds

@finland Ya after reading I understand they don't level up, I was meaning their knowledge system is like BDO energy system where say you kill bears and then you proc the knowledge on bears and now you have 1 point of knowledge to spend towards skills. Obv they used their points for things that were not skills, but I was just wondering what the system was in terms of gain/use. I enjoy the knowledge system they seem to be planning to have and know that it does in fact make for a fun adventure
