could anyone tell me what sort of base roles are available in game? if its just the standard mage, warrior, rogue type or if they have subdivisions and maybe even job types?

@XenonTheAntiquarian There are no defined roles per se since any character can mix and match between the schools (https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-4-skills-galore/)

of magic:- MUSICIANSHIP
- MARKSMANSHIP
- ASSASSINATION
- WARFARE
- MARTIAL ARTS
- RESTORATION
- NECROMANCY
- INVOCATION
- ILLUSIONISM
- ENCHANTING
- DIVINATION
- CONJURATION
- ALTERATION
- ABJURATION
And a total of 400 abilities (skills). each ability has 3 levels. Your hot bar has 8 slot and you can mix up abiliteis nad cosumables. This way you can make your own build.

Just a small correction there, but musicianship, marksmanship, assassination, warfare, and martial arts aren't schools of magic, they're schools of fighting.
