Can't unequip gear

When I try right-clicking gear on my character screen, the gear briefly flashes in my inventory before reappearing equipped. It's almost like the right-click action passes through and is processed twice (once to unequip, once to equip).
Dragging gear from my character screen to inventory does nothing.

Same things is happening to me on occasion. Only on the weapons though it seems. The only fix I can find is replacing that weapon with another one, which shouldn't be the only choice. This would be a massive issue for players opting for 6 str, that need as little weight as possible on their character to hold materials.
