So, this Alpha weekend
Are the Skills and talents what will be in game, that is the actual release. Or are they just placeholders and will change come going live?

Wait and see for some news post.
Likely options are:
they unlock all skills, give everyone max talent points, and a chest full of generic items. They did this last pvp free weekend alpha.
they give you the standard starting situation of 5 unlocked skills and needing to learn/hunt/craft everything from bottom up. Which would kinda suck... But if all they care about is testing servers under load and the new basic mechanics of ranged and melee attacks... it'll do.
