100 % this is it: Fixed a bug that would sometimes make dash spells deal damage to enemies in a huge area around the caster, which would pull all monsters hit to the caster. The fix we've implemented is quite "hacky" though, we're still investigating a proper solution.

I do get the slow progression thing, but indeed the carts are annoying. They don't require time because you are "doing" something, they require time because you are fighting the UI, and that's not good. I mean, the same can be obtained by making it more responsive and making the animations longer. Same time, less frustrating.

If you are in combat mode, the function should be turned off.

I have now used the spell more often in PvE and I found out that it sometimes withdrew five times the amount of energy (but only from one enemy in that circle) and very often did not work at all.
