The dmg attribute of Scimitar is str | dex.
The Scimitar belongs to the Swordsmanship School.
ALL abilities of the Swordsmanship rely on str.
Why?
Please change the scaling attributes of these abilities to str | dex too.
Thanks.

Please add a immunity timer/buff after a cc effect is gone so the same effect can't be applied again for like 7-8 seconds.. doesn't feel good to be root-locked and silenced the whole time
I don't like the idea of restricting players.. crafting should use ressources and time but should not have other fences.
I think the concept of recipes should be deleted from the game at all. With the current implementation, the recipes will flood the market once everyone has learnt was he needs.. Changing the system to require even more recipes or reducing the drop-rate will not fix this problem.. it might only prevent players from getting the gear and setup they want and create frustration..
The game should be playable with one account.. pushing ppl into buying more accounts to be able to craft different items is the worst way I can imagine.. I also hate to be restricted to only 1 house per account.. but this is another to topic (some ppl already have multiple accounts, up to 6?! to be able to build more houses... this restriction is so stupid).
We should also keep in mind, that not all ppl can spend 3-8h per day playing FO. We need solutions that also allow casual players to be part of the world.

The main thing should be able to kill several enemy's without constant mana problems.
How many young wolves or dragons should you be able to kill without constant mana problems?
My suggestion was to have more zoom-out if you move fast on a horse, so our brains get a few milliseconds more to recognize.. It wasn't about just sitting on a horse without movement.
yeah, but there isn't much between the cheapest and the highest gear, yet
we need more gear for more flexibility and i'd prefer to stuff be more horizontal than vertical in terms of gear-utility
this thread should be deleted.. just consumes disc space without any benefit
I'd prefer an easy to implement solution early, which shouldn't have any impact on the attribute choice or other game-systems. Lets keep stuff as simple as possible.
@spoletta This would be a waste.. we need small-scale objective pvp for smaller groups that can't invest 10hours but just want to enjoy some great fights and conquer some POIs that have a influence in the world..
Con based would be more useful since it linkes the life force and int-players normally don't want to eat more dmg than they have to.
@spoletta said in Ability Attributes and "Mana":
@MidniteArrow No, it means that this game has no concept of "tank" in pvp.
Only a few new abilities could change that.. maybe a tank could bind other players to himself like a leash or body-protect weaker group-mates.. The dev's could easily decide to give tanks a role in pvp..

If you could change one thing in the game, which one would it be?
I hope you forwarded the full list of answers of the q "If you could change one thing in the game, which one would it be?" to the devs. And I would love to read the individual answers of that q.
@spoletta there is no law that tells us the only viable pvp-build is burst-dmg... why can't we have protection abilities or something like that, that forces players to actually fight against tank builds? to be honest i don't like the fixation on moba games and LOL and such things.. there is more out there and i think it would be great if different builds could play a role in pvp and not just burst-dmg or die
Casters can run/blink around and still regenerate mana while the melee without mana can't properly regenerate mana if they cant reach their targets. Problem is still, casters increase their ressource-pool(inplicitly due to manareg) when investing into their dmg-attribute and melee's can not.
@spoletta Then why are melee classes forced to invest in int but caster-classes are not forced to invest in Str/Dex/Cha? The manareg talents are within the int-tree and also the border-talents (Perception/Intelligence [only caster specific atm, but 2 talents still missing]; Intelligence/Charisma [2/4 talents are clearly designed for casters]) are to a large extend not useful for melee classes. So the investment into the int-tree for manareg is clearly a must for most melee classes but don't offer any other good things like it does for the caster or mixed classes.
Proposal
Option 1a. Reduce the manareg bonus for int attribute. And increase the base-manareg for all chars a bit.
Option 1b. Add manareg bonus based on str/dex/int/per/cha (use highest value)
Option 1c. Keep it as it is.
2. Move the manareg talents into a new talent-tree, which can be used by all classes.
3. Design the border-talents of this new tree (e.g. Per/Manareg_tree,Manareg_tree/Cha) in a way that all classes (i.e. not only summoners/warlocks) can use them.. (e.g. reduced mana-costs; reduced precast-time; manareg_per_dmg; manasteal_per_dmg; manaremoval_per_dmg; etc)
Moving talents into a new tree and make the old nodes empty (for the moment) shouldn't take much dev ressources or add critical balancing issues.
Your thoughts about this guys/girls?
Some setups don't require bandages (e.g. casters with stackable self-heal). People can decide to use more of their existing slots for consumables if they want to.. With the new tea's this is sometimes actually a good decision for example to use mana-tea's or anti-poison-tea's.. The limitation of slots allows to create counter-builds for some setups, if ppl in the end have to many free slots for abilities they might get too much flexibility during their fights.
As the topics says, I'd like to see an additional zoom-out when riding(not staying) horses.. Maybe aroud 30-50%? So if you reach a specific speed the max zoom-out increases a bit.. I find it sometimes hard to recognize things if the screen goes by so fast and therefore riding horses is sometimes exhausting... The world contains very interesting things I'd might want to collect but please give our eyes&brains a few seconds to recognize the stuff. What do you guys think about that?
