@wombat I'm sure a few would agree

I've pledged EB Knight tier since it was the cheapest Alpha 1 access.

I do believe that a lot of people lack patience and after looking through all of the news highlights, expect to be able to access the game fairly quickly.
At the same time I don't think the majority of those people understand what an Alpha game is going to be like. Many of them will likely get frustrated at the bugs and lack of overall content and stop playing all together, branding it a "bad game" without giving it a chance to develop.

As for the community, for the most part I've loved being part of it. I'm not a trash talker or a complainer, I don't tell people what to do or that they're wrong, and I don't sit on a high horse lording over others because of my foundation/guild rank - and because I don't do any of these things people tend to leave me alone. I'm just here to have a great time, jump into some role play activities, and watch an awesome gaming community grow.

Great post @Prometheus despite it dragging you away from other pursuits.

I'm always up for a healthy debate but this just turned into mess resulting in e-bullies flexing their metaphorical muscles.
Zero tolerance for bullies, there are always other words you can use to get your point across rather than descending into a state that is basically hurling fistfuls of shit at each other.

Specter already confirmed in discord that they are aware of Finland's alt accounts and even other peoples alt accounts in general.
They wont get foundations points for them if what Specter said is correct.

Such an amazing first day

There's going to be a heap of us jumping in for Alpha 1, and I know @Greenfire is busy compiling a list.

What is everyone going to focus on in their Alpha journey? Is there something you're going to pursue or try to discover? Are you going to spend your time PvPing as much as possible or maybe exploring the different planets?

I'll be on Arboreus... gathering and crafting and building and praying to be left alone
So if you need resources from Arboreus, I'm hoping to have a lot spare to trade

Deciding that her hunger was a more urgent need than the discomfort from the statues, Mimi sits down next to Glim, accepting a bowl of stew from the caravans cook, Phroud. It is filled with chunks of a native root vegetable and the broth is warm and salty, "Thank you." she said to the cook, "It smells delicious."

Phroud smiled and gave her a wink before continuing with his stew pot to the rest of the group.

The cheery noises of a large group of people settling in for the night took over most of the ominous sounds in the nearby forest. Howling wind and the snapping of branches was replaced with the homey sound of familiar bickering and an enthusiastic lute player, taking requests for songs from a few rowdy young men already deep in their ale cups.

Looking around at the Rhila Trading Company, Mimi smiled a small smile reminded a little of home. This is really just one big family. They don't look it during day but I can see it now.

I don't like this place, Mimi thinks to herself it may be abandoned but there has been a lot of death here. Looking around the clearing she decides to get a closer look at some of the off statues.

"These were humans!" she gasps to Telwath who had followed her over, "They look as though they died terrified and in pain." Mimi reached out to touch the stone cheek of a young girl no older than she was, it felt cold and soulless. "What is this place?"

Despite the cheery music and the smell of dinner cooking on the fire Mimi is restless and fidgety. Seeing Ixuo felt the same she walked over to him noting the fine fur on his forearms was standing on end. "You feel it too?" she asked him, and Ixuo nodded stiffly in response, a worried look in his eyes as he tended the fire.

"You mean hooves?" Mimi asked cheekily and smiled, "Only a few weeks. This is all very new to me."

The White Knight Equation

Over the years I have encountered many different types of people online but one of my all time favourites is the Queen Bee. Not so much because of the Queen Bee herself, but for all the little White Knight Bees that swarm around her. Don't get me wrong the Queen Bee can be a force of nature, and she is often an amazing person. BUT. It's the White Knight Bees that really determine what sort of Queen Bee you're dealing with.

So how can we figure out what kind of Queen Bee it is? First of all, you have to rattle the nest a little. You wont know anything about the White Knight Bees until the Queen Bee is upset. Whether you have disturbed the Queen Bee intentionally or not doesn't actually matter - even if you have said sorry. And yes, even if you have said sorry AND she has accepted your apology. You rocked the boat so here they come.

• The Independent Queen Bee: If you're getting just a couple of private messages and nothing else this is a fairly solitary Queen Bee who has a few White Knight Bees in her life that care about her enough to let you know you have made a mistake but who also know she'd kick their asses if she found out they were messaging you. This Queen Bee doesn't subscribe to the idea of "defining" other Queen Bees.

• The Mulan Queen Bee: She's one of the boys. Chances are the one disturbing this nest is in fact one of her White Knights. She's one of the rarest bees because none of her White Knights will protect her. Instead, the hive has an "every bee for itself" mentality but they still get together on weekends and talk shit about the Power Play Queen Bee - see below.

• The "I have a boyfriend" Queen Bee: These White Knights are forever reminded about the fact that they've been designated to the eternal friend zone. This has made them a little blue and they may or may not message you after you've done something wrong. They're still hopeful enough to keep in contact with her, but defeated enough that some days they just don't care.

• The Queen of Queen Bees: Here's one you need to watch out for. Seriously just run. If you have multiple other Queen Bees (at least ten) messaging you about how you've hurt their friend you have disturbed the Council of Queen Bees and must get out immediately. Not doing so might result in your social media accounts getting hacked, strange and embarrassing rumors about you appearing mysteriously online, and weird calls in the middle of the night.

• The Power Play Queen Bee: These White Knight Bees are super aggressive. Their Queen Bee often flirts with multiple White Knights at a time while somehow ensuring that none of them will find out about the others. She is skilled and sneaky, a little bit damaged and probably has a pet poodle or something. Because most of the White Knights assume they're dating - or at least in the running to be dating - the Queen Bee, they will stop at nothing to defend her honor.

• The Instagram Queen Bee: This one doesn't really play games. But she does take some amazing pictures of herself pretending to do so, and spends too much money at Sephora. The White Knights that swarm around this Queen Bee are generally paying her some form of currency - which funds her Sephora addiction - to pose in varying states of undress. They're very competitive and love it when their Queen Bee acknowledges anything they do. Because they're often showering her with gifts they also often have this odd misconception that they "own" the Queen Bee which makes them very defensive.

In conclusion, there are many other types of Queen Bees out there, and while you should always encounter them with caution, please also treat them with respect until they are deserving of anything else.
